“They’re the same thing,” noted Kimmel during his opening monologue on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Monday night. “Lo and behold, we found people who did not know that,” he said as the audience chuckled.

We’ve been “classroom moms” together (help kids with projects in the classroom) for years. LOL. I never knew she was his mom til I saw her on the news last year. LOL!

This is what they planned to do, calling it obamacare. Folks can’t even keep it real and just say, “i don’t care if i suffer, i just want president obama to fail.” The government shutdown was simply to try and take away from the fact that the health care act was going to happen. They just wanted to mar this victory. It would have been too much like right to have a budget pass, and for this act to go into place.
Them fools shut down the government, then when home to the best single malt scotch, a yacht anchored at their lake house, a meal that would have rivaled something from Mortons, and a well manicured lawn. While their faithful servants probably went home to a tailor, and a beat up 98 dodge ram pickup.

9 Types of Obamacare Exemptions
Obamacare’s exemptions are codified in Section 5000A of the tax code. There are nine explicit exemptions.
According to the law, the people WHO DO NOT have to comply with Obamacare’s mandate, and who will not face any penalty for noncompliance, are:
1.Individuals who cannot afford coverage. For 2014, this means people who cannot afford health insurance because the premium (based on the lowest-cost Bronze plan, or the individual’s share of an employer-sponsored plan) exceeds 8 percent of their household income. After 2014, the Secretary of Health and Human Services may revise the threshold.
2.Individuals with household income below the filing threshold. This means anyone who doesn’t have to file a federal income tax return.
3.Members of federally recognized Indian tribes. The Federal Register maintains a list of federally recognized Indian tribes.
4.Individuals who experience a hardship. According to HealthCare.gov, potential hardships may include being homeless, filing for bankruptcy, being a recent victim of domestic violence, or having been evicted in the past six months, among many others.
5.Individuals who experience a short coverage gap. In general, this means a lapse in coverage of less than three months in a calendar year.
6.Members of certain religious sects. Also sometimes called the “religious conscience” exemption, these religious sects must be recognized by the Social Security Administration as being “conscientiously opposed to accepting any insurance benefits,” the IRS explains. As described in Section 1402 of the tax code, these sects must have been in existence since at least December 31, 1950.
7.Members of a health care sharing ministry. Qualified nonprofit health care sharing ministries must meet the tax code’s definition of such a group, and must have been in existence since at least December 31, 1999.
8.Incarcerated individuals. This includes people in jail, prison, and other penal institutions.
9.Individuals who are not lawfully present. This means anyone who is not a U.S. citizen or national.
The government needs to remember once the masses are awoken and understand they hold the power… things will change.
I hope all those that aren’t working today (low level people) take this time to do something for yourself… you deserve it.

@ Shuga my son used to tell me all the time that “A’s” (girl in his classroom) Uncle was famous and he was on TV. I guess I didn’t pay too much attention though. When I saw his mom on the news (local news did interview with Kimmel’s parents), I just cracked up. I said Jimmy Kimmel is “A’s” Uncle, LOL! That lady is pretty humble, in six years she has never mentioned who her son was, everybody seemed to know but me and I talked to her quite a bit in class. LOL #clueless! Then I realized, Kimmel is Mormon cause his whole family is.

Yes he is Mormon. his whole family is. His niece’s dad (not sure if it is Kimmel’s brother or brother in law) used to visit his kids in class and I remember he pointed out proudly that he was Mormon and had 5 kids to me because I have no where near that many, LOL. There is a Mormon church on almost every corner out here where I live. It gets a bit tiring because I think that they are not a church, they are a cult, but as individuals, all the mormons I know are very nice people. I just don’t agree with their beliefs. At all.

Broward School Board member Abby Freedman has withdrawn her son from the public school system she helps to oversee, deciding he would be better off in private school.
Freedman, who was elected last November, now pays $23,900 to send her 12-year-old son Harrison to Fort Lauderdale-based Pine Crest School, where he’s in the seventh grade.
Her concern isn’t with her son’s former school, Westglades Middle in Coral Springs, or the county school district. Instead, she said she’s fed up with state-mandated testing, especially the standardized end-of-course test given when students finish algebra, geometry, biology, U.S. history and civics.
The list is pretty long the benefits that women will gain both insured and uninsured.
I don’t want birth controls but I don’t knock anyone that does.
The screenings are great though. Now Metlife won’t be getting so much of my money.
