Hollywood power couple Beyonce and Jay Z have decided to “go green” by giving up meat and dairy (eggs, milk, etc.) for 22 days. Jay Z made the announcement in a post on his personal blog.
The aging rap mogul says he and his wife Beyonce will contribute to saving the environment by eating a vegan diet including a nutritious “plant-based breakfast” everyday for 22 days.
Jay Z says he was inspired to go green when a good friend challenged him to go vegan a few months back.
The father of two also said growing one year older triggered “something spiritual” within him. This sounds similar to what menopausal women go through. It’s called The Change, Jay Z.

On December 3rd, one day before my 44th birthday I will embark on a 22 Days challenge to go completely vegan, or as I prefer to call it, plant-based!! This all began a few months back when a good friend and vegan challenged me to embrace a “plant-based breakfast” everyday. It was surprisingly easier on me than I thought…
Why now? There’s something spiritual to me about it being my 44th birthday and the serendipity behind the number of days in this challenge; 22 (2+2=4) coupled with the fact that the challenge ends on Christmas day…It just feels right!
So you can call it a spiritual and physical cleanse. I will post my progress… Any professional vegans out there that have any great food spots please help out! Please ha. I don’t know what happens after Christmas. A semi-vegan, a full plant-based diet? Or just a spiritual and physical challenge? We’ll see…

Vegan is good. But I have a friend whose Aunt is experiencing liver failure because she didn’t supplement the protein over the years.
Our bodies REQUIRE protein.

Good luck! Hards are hard to break. We try to shop on the outside of the grocery story instead of inside the aisles. There is stuff hidden in food that would make your stomach turn. I need to get better. Check out some of those docs on Netflix and check out FoodBabe on FB.

The only meat we eat is chicken, turkey, and we eat seafood. I made meatloaf with ground beef/turkey the other day, but that is rare.

I myself did a cleanse this year and i’ve been eating different ever since. I still eat meat cuz hell I iz negra but I watch the types of meat I eat and i’ve cut down on red meat dramatically 
I only eats the chickun, skrimp, and fishes 
Not as much frying and when it comes to juice if any of the ingredients listed I cannot pronounce, I ain’t buying it.
We really have to watch what we consume, the ppl up top are making profits off of our health. Good for him going vegan for 22 days, it’ll take a lot of mind power but what is good for the body is good for the soul

i know this, but it reminded me of a convo i had with someone who said “i dont eat pork except bacon and i eat ham on xmas”
if you eat meat, then you eat meat. its really nothing to be ashamed of. there is no extra credit for only eating certain types or parts.
