Michael Dunn

Michael Dunn, the Georgia man who shot and killed a teenager after an argument over loud “thumping bass” music, took the witness stand on day 4 of his 1st degree murder trial on Tuesday.

The prosecution and defense rested yesterday. Both sides will make their closing arguments today.

Dunn, 47, is on trial for fatally shooting 17-year-old Jordan Davis during a verbal altercation outside a convenience store in Jacksonville, Florida in November 2012. He is charged with 1 count of first-degree murder and three counts of attempted first-degree murder. Dunn faces life in prison if convicted on all charges.

I’ve been in Atlanta far too long and have seen way too many “winter storms” that I get pissed that the entire damn state shuts down over minimal amounts of ice. Yeah, yeah, we’re not prepared. Well gadddamm, I’ve been here at least 20 years. How long does it take to get prepared? We get a winter storm every year. It’s not like this happens once every 5-8 years.

Yes, I get why people compare what they have to endure to the slight the state of GA goes thru. I grew up in Chicago and also lived in Milwaukee a few years. The lil kids still walked to school in several inches of snow on the ground and more falling as you slipped and slid ur way to school. The temperature can be 9 degrees outside or -5 below zero. It didn’t matter; we got up and went about our day like normal.

I’m over the nonsense that is the state of GA when it comes to this winter weather. I’m sitting downstairs watching the trees in my backyard dance. I suppose I can make a clean break if it appears one will fall on my house.

The defense attorney murdered the prosecution’s case. Yes he lied, but he did it convincingly and if the jury wants to justify a not guilty verdict in their head he gave them license to. The prosecution once again did a half-@ssed job of proving their case. Simple screw ups like checking the scene for a gun. If the detectives did that there would be less doubt in folks minds. Just seems like once again they were careless. Smh

The entire question is whether it was REASONABLE for him to shoot off at a car full of people that he THOUGHT had a gun and threatened him.

That’s the only thing in question. Is that REASONABLE, so the actual evidence is irrelevant.
