Popular radio jock Angie Martinez resigned from Hot 97 in NYC today after 15 years on the air. Martinez, who stars in the poorly received reality show This is Hot 97, announced her resignation on social media.
In the Instagram.com post, Martinez, 43, thanked Emmis Communications and the Hot 97 staff. Martinez got her start working in the promotions department before joining Funkmaster Flex on air in the early 90?s.
Martinez has a son with ex-husband Tamir “Nokio” Ruffin, 35, of Dru Hill fame.
