Robin Thicke

R&B singer Robin Thicke pours his heart out to estranged wife Paula Patton in the new music video for his song “Get Her Back”. The crooner isn’t handling their break up very well. Thicke, 36, and Patton, 38, met as teenagers.

The couple split after he got a little too familiar with a petite blond socialite at a MTV VMAs after party last year.

In the music video, Thicke sings plaintively about treating his wife right as break-up text messages flash over images of his battered and bloody face — a metaphor for his bruised ego.

His lyrics include the typical “I’ll do better next time” lies that all cheating men tell their women when they get caught.

The video is painful to watch as Thicke literally bares his raw, naked emotions on film.

Paula is most likely unimpressed with Thicke’s narcissistic pleas. She’s probably heard his excuses a dozen times before.

In one text message he tells her, “I wrote a whole album about you.”

Her response is undeniable in its finality: “I don’t care.”

It’s clear she wants him to move on, but his bruised ego won’t let him.
