Porsha Williams Named New Dish Nation Co-Host

After her recording career fizzled, former Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member Porsha Williams finally found a job with a steady paycheck coming in. The former television evangelist is the official co-host of a show called Dish Nation.

From a press release:

Porsha Williams, star of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta”, has been named permanent co-host on the entertainment magazine television program, DISH NATION. Based in Atlanta, with the “Rickey Smiley Morning Show”, Porsha brings her distinct perspective on breaking celebrity news and gossip. The announcement was made by Michael Bachmann and Matt Blanock, co-executive producers of DISH NATION.

Michael and Matt stated: “This week, ‘Dish Nation’ celebrates 500 episodes. We are thrilled to have the talented and tenacious Porsha Williams around for the next 500 and beyond.”

Growing +12% in average daily viewers versus same period a year ago (1.52 million vs 1.36), DISH NATION remains syndication’s youngest skewing first-run program.

Porsha stated: “On my very first day in the Atlanta studios of ‘Dish Nation’ I immediately felt a natural chemistry with the team. Rickey Smiley is an amazing comic and I am thrilled to learn and grow with one of the best morning hosts in the country.”

Going to college nowadays is pointless. It’s not about what you know but who you know. This is why Vanna started her own show that some blogees were bashing Some broadcasting graduate is about to hang his or herself. But nevertheless, congrats Porsha.

ICDC…..ain’t that the trade school Ciara went to? Iffin that be the case, ain’t nothing wrong with it. I was comparing spending money and taking out student loans for a degree that only generates peanuts in income when a person can go to a trade school and make twice as much.

I often say I could’ve brought a house or car instead but I’m from a country area so I would’ve had to be extra innovative to pull my current money off without selling drugs. lol. Life would be easier without the loans though but I can’t bring myself to teach for 3 years cause the way my wants are set up, that salary won’t cut it.

We negroes HAVE to have a college degree!! What I tell HS gradsif you don’t have the money or don’t know what you really want to “be”, go to a community college for 2 years and then transfer to a 4 year college for the remaining 2 years. Your credits transfer and you save tons of $$$$. If nothing else that 2 year associates degree shows potential employers that you are education minded. I knows high level peeps in several comapany HR, trust me

Well I don’t have a problem with Porsha. She’s harmless, got a banging body and is stupidly entertaining. Eboni was fine and like someone else said she has been down with Ricky for YEARS. I started noticing she was missing off and on and thought maybe she was sick because I know she is a cancer survivor. Then when I saw they moved to tv and Porsha was doing stuff I said oh Like JL I think it has more to do with the fact that she has a face for radio and they want to blow up. I don’t know that I can totally blame Ricky BUT it is his name on the show so I would think he would have some say so. It’s sad if you ask me.

The whole Kim/Nicki beef…. I really got nothing. I think Nicki at times has been very disrespectful to Kim just based on the fact that she came before her and Nicki is acting like she did something original and she is the best ever. At the same time Kim seems real bitter and angry. I think it’s partially justified though because mainstream has adjusted its views and welcome the raunch of Nicky while Kim got crucified But at this stage of the game I don’t think it’s fair to be like hush Kim you old because Jay Z, Rolling Stones and Paul McCartney out there 70 years old still doing their thing. Afiya I am not 100% how the whole Eboni thing rolled out because I wasn’t listening all the time. But it seemed like she was guest hosting on her own show for the last few months. Then Porsha started guesting on Dish Nation. Then I added her on twitter to see was she ok and I saw a message she wrote about starting to concentrate on other endeavors. Next day the big announcement Claudia was on the show I really don’t think it was Eboni’s choice.

I loved what Kim put out yesterday; the Identity theft art and than the collage of her look and Nicki in the same look. What is wack is that she is doing it at all. It is sad. If Kim’s bars matched her enthusiasm it would be ok. The music just ain’t hitting though
