Don’t ask rap mogul T.I. to comment on his wife’s ongoing dependence on cosmetic surgery. In addition to a laundry list of cosmetic procedures in recent years, Tameka Harris, 39, recently received iris implants to permanently change the color of her eyes from brown to ice gray.
When asked to comment on his wife’s latest surgery in a radio interview, T.I. politely deferred all questions to his wife.
In a recent interview, Tameka said her husband initially balked at her decision to change her eye color:
“He was like, ‘What are you doing?’ But he loves them. He’s OK with them as long as they’re healthy and I’m not having any problems.”
Tameka responded to the sharp criticism about her decision to drastically change her eye color.
“I just wanted to do something different. And I have the right to do that. It’s my body,” she said.
The 15 minute procedure was performed at a clinic in the United States. That’s an interesting detail because iris implants for cosmetic purposes is banned in the U.S., which means Tameka’s implants were medically necessary (or that’s the doctor’s story and he’s sticking to it).
Tameka explained her experience going under the scalpel.
“They go into the eye and they make a little slit. They take an implant and it’s folded up. They open it [and] spread it over your eye.
They told me that the procedure was going to be quick, five to 10 minutes an eye. They woke me up. It was very blurry, then it kind of fades in.”

The doctor that she went to is in Tunisia, so I doubt she did this in America… Anywho, to each his own…

I’m not a big fan of colored contacts. I think they LOOK like colored contacts – which takes away from ANY face, if you ask me.
I would never allow anyone to insert anything into my eyeball. I waste a half bottle of Visine from blinkin right before it hits my eyeball. How she allowed this to happen is beyond me.
I read about this procedure a few years back. Some black dude traveled to Panama to get it done I believe and when he did, he went “legally bline” and had to read the p.o.p. bylaws in braille.
IF she was going to go to such extremes, I would’ve suggested a hazel or chestnut. Those glow in the dark eyes makes her look like Storm’s little sister, Drizzlin’.
I am tired of her and them describing them like she picked them out of a car catalog. They are “ice grey” uhhhh… I guess so if you go to the Artic or some water freeze on a dirty side walk the ice is great
