Happy Thanksgiving

CiCi is seems very down to earth! Go CiCi! The Baby Past Tense is such a butterball. I love fat, healthy, well-fed babies.

So roses…..help me to understand something…..so I met this guy online. He checked out my profile and sent me a starter message (Hi how are you). I responded in kind by telling him I hadn’t been feeling well, but am ok. Fast forward through three or four light hearted messages and he asks me when can we meet up. I responded with what are you looking for and that I couldn’t at the moment because I had to get better first. He responds with he’s just looking for friendship (as was I) and to get better and take care. I responded with I am cool with friendship also and if he is open to meeting up, I’m down for that as well. He didn’t respond, but has read the message. I take it as he won’t respond to me anymore, which I respect.

If my hunch is right…..was I wrong, per se, for how I responded to him? My line of thinking was this….I didn’t want to meet up if he was looking for anything more than friendship. I am working on becoming a better me right now and am okay with my single status. I believe I am where God needs me to be and make no apologies for that. I just didn’t want to throw this dude mixed signals or give him a false sense of hope, hence why I asked what he was looking for (why waste time, you know?).

I am cognizant of how I treat someone, especially if they feel I slighted them. That being said, was what I asked (or how I asked it) offensive? I prefaced by telling this person I wasn’t being presumptuous….I can’t read minds and I just wanted to make sure we were on the same page. I am open to positive critique and or feedback…..thanks.
