Kevin Hart

Comedian Kevin Hart is working overtime to attain crossover status. The diminutive ‘Wedding Ringer’ star is featured on the current cover of The Hollywood Reporter rocking a towering platinum afro bouffant wig.

In the cover story Hart claims he was not offended by Sony Pictures bigwig Clint Culpepper calling him a “greedy whore” in leaked emails.

Culpepper was upset that Hart refused to promote one of his movies on social media platform Twitter.com unless he was paid more.

“I’ve talked to him… Clint called right after. It’s not like I wanted to challenge him — that’s just how he talks. He did [apologize], but there was no need. When you negotiate, you say whatever you say.”

“Nothing affected me,” he added, “I will never allow myself to be taken advantage of.”

“I’m not an angry person,” he says. “I left those years behind.”

Hart added: “Once I realized that I had a voice and didn’t have to pretend to be a different version of myself, I stopped forcing the situation, stopped being a character. …. My point of view is my reality.”

Hart also commented on the Bill Cosby rape allegations.

From ET Online:

When asked if he will take Cosby’s portrait down from the wall of his home, which is lined with comedians Hart admires — including Eddie Murphy, Richard Pryor, Martin Lawrence, etc. — he says he won’t.

“The picture serves a purpose for me,” he explains. “These were the men who built a legacy doing what they love to do, which is telling jokes.”

“Right now, it’s a lot of speculation,” he says about all the recent accusations. “All I can do is just say my prayers, and my wishes go out to all of the women who are potentially involved. His personal life has nothing to do with me. I can’t control it. I will never try. It doesn’t stop me from being an admirer of his work. His work and his personal life are two separate things.”
