Creflo Dollar
“Prosperity preacher” Creflo $ Dollar abruptly dropped plans to fleece ask his parishioners to donate $300 each to purchase a $65 million private jet so he and his inner circle can travel lavishly like world leaders.

Dollar dropped his plans after the weight of public criticism fell upon him.

Gospel singer Kirk Franklin said: “When I camouflage my ‘greeds’ to look like ‘needs,’ that’s a shortage of character.”

Dollar made the absurd request of his 200,000 parishioners after the church’s old aging jet suffered air frame damage.

The Atlanta Journal-Constition’s PolitiFact Georgia confirmed that the 21 year old jet was indeed damaged.

PolitiFact Georgia just completed an in-depth investigation into Dollar’s plans to purchase the top-of-the-line Gulfstream G650 so he could deliver “100,000 pounds” of foodstuffs to needy people in 3rd world countries.

PolitiFact Georgia reached out to Dollar but was referred to Juda Engelmayer, senior vice president at 5W Public Relations in New York.

In an article published on March 13, Engelmayer said, “it’s not that simple,” for a ministry team of 10 to 15 people to “take thousands of pounds,” even 100,000 pounds “of food and provisions with them when they go around the world.”

But according to PolitiFact Georgia’s investigation, the G650 can only carry 2,500 pounds of luggage, tops.

“If they make that claim (that they were buying the Gulfstream G650 to carry cargo), they’re expecting the public to be a lot dumber than it is,” Aviation expert Richard Aboulafia told PolitiFact Georgia.

Aboulafia suggested that purchasing a G650 to replace the old jet was like going from “the old Honda to the new Rolls-Royce.”

Cargo space on a business jet is measured in terms of golf bags, Aboulafia told PolitiFact Georgia.
