ISIS threatens Twitter

Terror group ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) has issued death threats to social networking platform Twitter.com‘s employees and its founder.

According to the Guardian UK, ISIS supporters threatened to kill Twitter employees, and founder Jack Dorsey specifically, for blocking Twitter accounts associated with ISIS.

A message in Arabic posted to an online bulletin board warned Dorsey and Twitter.com employees that they have “become a target for the soldiers of the Caliphate and supporters scattered among your midst!”

This news comes on the heels of worrisome reports that the FBI is battling ISIS extremists in every state.

It doesn’t help that President Obama has thrown open the southern borders for every terrorist to come calling.

From The Guardian UK:

In an Arabic post uploaded to the image-sharing site JustPaste.it, the group told Twitter that “your virtual war on us will cause a real war on you”. It warned that Jack Dorsey and Twitter employees have “become a target for the soldiers of the Caliphate and supporters scattered among your midst!”

“You started this failed war … We told you from the beginning it’s not your war, but you didn’t get it and kept closing our accounts on Twitter, but we always come back. But when our lions come and take your breath, you will never come back to life.”

In a statement to Buzzfeed.com a Twitter spokesman said “our security team is investigating the veracity of these threats with relevant law enforcement officials”.
