A New Orleans federal appeals court handed President Barack Obama yet another stunning defeat.
The United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, in New Orleans, denied Obama’s request to lift a federal injunction that would allow millions of illegal immigrants to stream across the borders, apply for driver’s licenses and steal jobs from hard working Americans.
26 states filed a lawsuit against Obama in November, citing his failure to secure the southern borders.
Obama and his taxpayer-funded legal team are hitting up federal judges in every southern state, trying to get a Texas judge’s ruling overturned. But so far he has had no luck.
From The NY Times:
The appeals judges also denied a request by the administration to limit the injunction to the states bringing the lawsuit. The ruling is a second setback for programs the president hoped would be a major piece of his legacy, raising new uncertainty about whether they will take effect before the end of his term and casting doubts on the confidence of administration lawyers that their case was very strong.
Obama is doing too much.
