In Touch Weekly magazine reported exclusively that Josh Duggar, the eldest of TV's 19 Duggar siblings confessed to his father that he molested his sisters and another girl when he was a teenager.
According to In Touch Weekly, Jim Bob Duggar waited a year before reporting his son to the police.
"What’s more, Jim Bob informed the elders of his church about Joshua’s actions and they waited three months before contacting authorities."
In Touch uncovered the police report which had been hidden since 2006. In the shocking report, Josh was accused of "forcibly fondling" the breasts and genitals of his 14-year-old sister while she slept.
Jim Bob told police in 2006 that when Josh returned home in 2003, Jim Bob, accompanied by some of his church elders, took Josh to Arkansas State Trooper, Jim Hutchens. Jim Bob knew Hutchens personally. Hutchens did not take any official action and instead gave Josh a “very stern talk.” As In Touch magazine reports exclusively in this week’s issue, Hutchens is now serving 56-years in prison for child pornography. He took no action on the Duggar case.
The Duggar family are staunch conservative Christians who are anti-gay and preach abstinence before marriage.
Child experts say inspecting each other's genitals is a normal part of a child's psychosexual development.
Some children inspect their siblings' body parts visually, while other children inspect with their hands.
Children grow out of this stage (ages 3 to 6) when they move on to the next stage in their psychosexual development.
It's important not to yell at your children or shame them if you catch them inspecting each other during this stage.
The behavior becomes troublesome when a child continues to inspect, grope and molest his siblings well into his teenage years.
According to Sigmund Freud, each stage becomes a source of frustration or pleasure as the child focuses on a particular body part. Each stage causes an internal conflict that must be resolved before the child can move on to the next stage in his sexual development.
Children who can't resolve the conflict successfully can become "stuck" at a certain stage and he can not move past it.
Freud theorizes that some children are unable to move past a particular stage due to their needs not being met at that stage.
Manifestations of unresolved conflicts at a certain stage include homosexuality, transgenderism, or pedophilia (think Bruce Jenner, Laverne Cox, or a certain blogger).
Freud theorized that homosexual children did not resolve the conflict that arose during the Anal or potty training stage. So it is best to potty train children as early as possible. If your child isn't potty trained by age 2.5, problems will arise later on.
