Three good samaritans in Tennessee went to the aid of a woman who told them a man had just snatched her purse.
Tempra Mosley, of Nashville, told WZTV she made a quick stop at the Tiger Mart convenience store when a man grabbed her purse out of her SUV and ran.
Mosley said she chased the thief and screamed for help. Fortunately for her, three bystanders saw what was happening and joined the pursuit as the thief jumped into his car and tried to flee the scene.
Mosley recorded what happened next on her cell phone.
The video footage shows the thief — later identified as Ezell Graham — sobbing uncontrollably inside his car as the 3 men restrained his arms.
“You’re alright, you ain’t gonna get hurt,” one of the men assured him.
“I heard this lady screaming for help,” good samaritan Greg Mabey told WZTV. Mabey said Graham told him he was having a bad day.
As the men restrained the crying Graham, Mosley lectured him: “Sir, don’t ever do that again.”
“Yes ma’am,” Graham replied.
Mosley continued, “In the name of Jesus, you don’t have to do that. If you would’ve asked me for anything I would’ve helped you… all of these people would have helped you!”
“I didn’t know!” he wailed.
According to WZTV, Graham is a suspect in 4 other robberies in the area, including 2 more purse snatchings. He is currently in jail awaiting a bond hearing on August 25.
