The tide in the left wing media is slowly turning against the online social media justice group Black Lives Matter.

Once the darlings of liberal media outlets, Black Lives Matter are now feeling the cold steel of a disaffected media in the wake of a spate of cop killings.

Gwinnett County Sheriff Butch Conway vented his anger at the militant group in a scathing statement to the AJC.com.

Conway called BLM a “hate group” and “domestic terrorists with an agenda.”

“To say that I’m angry would be an understatement,” Conway wrote in a letter to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

He blamed the media for the “relentless” news coverage of police shootings of unarmed black men.

“It’s not about race,” Conway wrote.

He noted that the “common denominator in every controversial case of officers using deadly force has been police interaction with people who do not respect the law.”

The media is widely reporting that the suspect who killed a Kentucky state trooper was a BLM supporter.

Joseph Thomas Johnson-Shanks, 25, was shot and killed by police when they cornered him in a wooded area following an intense manhunt.

Police say Johnson-Shanks shot state trooper Joseph Ponder during a routine traffic stop. Two women and two children were in the car with Johnson-Shanks at the time

The NY Daily News obtained photos that place Johnson-Shanks at the Ferguson protests and funeral of Michael Brown, who was killed by a Ferguson police officer.

So far, 25 police officers have been shot and killed in 2015.
