Reality TV personality Karlie Redd posed naked for Playboy — but not for the reasons you think.
The 40-year-old Love & Hip: Atlanta star told Page Six that she posed naked to boost her confidence and low self-esteem.
“I was very nervous for two reasons: One, it’s Playboy, and two, there were extra cameras because the reality show was filming,” Redd told Page Six.
“But at the end of the day I had to hold myself in and have that confidence and exude that energy that I needed,” she added.
The single mother-of-one posed nude for Playboy Plus, the online subscription subsidiary of the iconic men’s magazine. But she refused an offer to film a XXX video for home sales.
“[A sex tape] is on a whole different level, but I didn’t even question Playboy. I want to do everything Playboy again and again. It’s sexy, classy and everything to me.”
