I think the cover is definitely very creative and thought provoking. It was utilized correctly because it gets people speaking and sharing very good point of views. The question it is asking is if the recent allegations against Bill Cosby affect the idealized image he has crafted for himself and which made him famous and if so why or why not. I love the cover and wish more magazines were thoughtful and engaging versus throwing a random celeb with bad contours up for doing much of nothing.

It was fictional but it was one of the first shows that depicted us as middle class and that shouldn’t be overlooked. It did help to change and shape the way society viewed us and I think given all of the reports of what Bill did behind the scenes to enforce that image, it makes this hit a little harder.

I used to run a blog and a group of people decided to go after my advertisors, because they didn’t like the comments some of my readers were leaving.

I installed filters to block certain words, but nothing short of complete censorship would appease these people.

When I refused to give in to their demands, they convinced my advertisors to drop me. The final straw was when I started receiving death threats and someone shot out a window at a downtown condo where I purportedly live.

We don’t want to endorse someone who does bad things in any shape or form because we kind of polarize celebs. Either they are all bad or all good and it’s just not realistic. I remember seeing a photo of Hitler doing something normal with his kids and people were shocked that this “monster” did something so average. And that’s the thing, criminals and villains in this world aren’t painted in one brush of all good or evil. I think we need to work on humanizing them to remember the morality we all possess and our own propensity for violence and malaciousness.

As far as rescinding the degrees is concerned: he has admitted to drugging women, whether consensual or otherwise, and those actions do not uphold the values of said institutions. Regardless of whether he raped women or not they have the ground to end their association with him. Just like in sports. Even if you aren’t convicted the endorsements can get cut off due to the morality clause in their contracts. I don’t think they are jumping the gun at all by trying to disassociate themselves from the increasingly bad reputation of an accused rapist.

Oh, and I think he’s guilty as he!!. Even if he only raped one girl a year during his career, that’s more than fifty women. His jokes about Spanish Fly settled the perv deal.

I really really want to believe you. But he is being tried in the court of social media and he is guilty as hell. Just bc he hasn’t been charged with a crime yet, is based on his money has paid for a lot of cases to be closed and woman never filing charges against him for rape. Almost every incident his lawyers, publicist, managers, executive of networks gets together to make sure the incidents can go away and not be made to the public. If he was a broke man he will be in jail serving time as an serial rapist and the number of woman would have not been close to 50. IMO ?
