Presidential frontrunner Donald Trump apparently doesn’t think he needs the black vote to win by a landslide in 2016.
That’s probably why he sent out a factually incorrect tweet by a white supremacist on Twitter.com today.
The tweet featured a black gang banger pointing a gun at a chart comparing murder rates between whites and blacks in America.
Most notable was the statistic comparing whites killed by blacks (81%) and blacks killed by blacks (97%), which Gawker.com called “patently false” and “race-baiting”.
The data: It’s false. According to the most recently released set of crime statistics from the FBI (which are from 2014), 82 percent of white homicides are committed by other white people, while black offenders account for just 14 percent of white homicides.
Trump came under fire over the weekend for urging a crowd of his supporters to stomp out a Black Lives Matters activist during a campaign stop in Birmingham, Alabama. Source
