Comedian/actress Amy Sedaris is in hot water for posting an Instagram image of 2 black women purchasing urban apparel.
Sedaris posted the image without a caption. But Instagram users assumed she was fat shaming the women — and they flooded her timeline with nasty comments.
A few brave souls stepped forward to defend Sedaris.
One user, @ninekniv3s wrote: “Without a caption to express intent it’s not fat shaming. It’s just a picture of two ladies from behind. It seems like there are a few folks here afflicted with some internal fatphobia projecting their shame/hate on @imamysedaris post.”
Sedaris is best known for her role as 46-year-old high school student Jerri Blank in Comedy Central’s hit TV series “Strangers With Candy.”
