Embattled U.S. President Obama will speak to the nation from the Oval Office at 8 p.m. ET on Sunday.
According to multiple news outlets, Obama plans to discuss the fight against ISIS, and he will speak on the terrorist attacks in San Bernardino that killed 14 people and wounded 17.
The White House announced the president’s planned speech on Twitter.com Saturday. The news was met with skepticism since Obama, who memorized the Koran as a boy, was quick to call the San Bernardino terror attacks “workplace violence.”
Hours before the deadly attacks at a San Bernardino county health department Christmas party on Wednesday, the president told Americans he had “contained ISIS.”
Conservative right-wing blogger Soopermexican wrote on his blog, Therightscoop: “Uh oh someone woke up Obama and made him read the newspapers because he just realized how bad the San Bernardino terror attacks were.”
Meanwhile Obama’s Attorney General Loretta Lynch courted more controversy when she urged Muslims to call her personally if their children were bullied in school.
