Real Housewives of Atlanta

Bravo producers and executives are panicking after the latest TV ratings were released this week. RHOA Season 8 is doing so poorly in the ratings that a few heads are on the chopping block.

A confidential source tells Sandrarose.com a major cast shakeup is underway. The source said the show’s tumbling ratings are a source of concern for the cast, too. They’re all pointing fingers at each other.

RHOA once enjoyed ratings of 3 million viewers for a single episode.

Radar Online — The episode which aired on Sunday, Nov. 29 got a 2.8 ratings share, which is lower than the show’s 2014 3.5 average and a deprecation of 700,000 tune-ins, the report claims.

This isn’t the first major decline in viewership RHOA had dealt with this season.

As OKmagazine.com previously reported, season 8 premiered on Nov. 8 to nearly 1 million less viewers than the season 7 premiere, which raked in 3.8 million.

Ratings go up n down as the season progresses. Many factors. Football, basketball, holiday themed movies airing, your neighbors cable got cut off, hence yours did too since you were borrowing from them…I think this is a ploy to hype up NeNe’s return?? We already know she’s filmed a scene or two. They claimed from episode one that the ratings were down without her…Now that things didn’t quite work out the way she thought they would with her many Hollywood gigs?? A faux panic of a so called ratings drop-Opens the door for her to come crawling back, without publicly crawling back. That way-the public views her as the show’s savior, the triumphant return brings publicity and ratings, AND the producers get her where they wanted her…At the rate they initially offered her?? I needs to be in the toilet – try off the air. It’s not happenstance that the only image black women happen to portray on tv – is that of the ‘morally inept woman’. It’s in keeping with the stereotype placed on black women being the goddess ‘venus’ during slavery times (look it up). Black women are soooo – irk ‘stupid’. Although I didn’t care for Nene she kept me watching. Kandi and that crying reminds me of Terrell Owens who was mad annoying. Cynthia and Morgan Freeman third cousin removed makes me itch! Kenya and them colored contacts makes me want to travel back in the 90’s and bust out the high tech boots, genie ponytails and herringbone necklace. Phadera’s facial expressions makes me want to pass her some soap and water because I feel like she may have B.O! If the producers were smart, they’d show Kenya in VERY small doses. Too many scenes w/her in it & no life. How many more ways can she joke about Sheree’s house? That horse has been beaten to death. Cynthia totally cheapened herself the last 2 seasons. She should’ve remained a mystery.

NeNe…no. The show has deviated from the original concept i.e wealthy Black women living large and conducting their lives. The original cast at least had some level of chemistry where you could at least believe these women would know one another outside the show. What we have now is The Monkees without any talent that is to say a created group with little to no synergy. Ask Lee Daniels about declining ratings leaving the concept responsible for success. I would imagine Beverly Hills ratings are down but at least we have a luxe environment to see.
