Reality TV personality Phaedra Parks was in Flint, Michigan doing her part to help during the manmade water crisis.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star handed out water to residents of Flint, whose drinking water is contaminated with lead and other pollutants.

The 44-year-old attorney posted an Instagram photo of herself posing with other high powered attorneys including Benjamin Crump.

“When we work together there is synergy. We will not sit quietly and allow the government to poison families and children,” she wrote in the photo caption.

The crisis began shortly after the city of Flint switched its water source from Detroit’s water system to the Flint River in April 2014.

Within months, residents began complaining of foul-smelling, discolored tap water. A pediatrician was ignored by city health officials when she reported treated children for lead poisoning.

I don’t altogether disagree that she was eager to throw a pic of her good deeds up on IG. So do a lot of celebs. (Russ & Cici stay posting a pic of them at the Children’s hospital.) But like Sandra said it does shed light on charitable causes and maybe someone else is inspired to give or volunteer. So while she looked good, like you said, at least someone else did benefit also.

It doesn’t matter if none of us trust her, as she will still give, take a photo, etc. I think people are just saying (well I am saying), that based on her past actions, there seems to be a motive in some of the things she does. I don’t think they are upset that she contributed. Honestly, I would have loved to see her in jeans, ponytail and sweatshirt making the deliveries and getting hands on. But again….#EH, I can only participate via local churches not on the front line.

Phaedra and Mike Brown. She had ALREADY planned BEFORE the shooting to BE in STL promoting her book. The shooting happened days before she was ALREADY scheduled to visit. Pre-planned. She went with no camera crew. She had BEEN talked about it way before the episode of her talking about it aired. In August 2014. I dont eem LIKE Phaedra. Aint watched RHOA since Kordell was on there. I like taking my nieces/nephews to theatre shows. There are a lot of plays and we go and then I discuss them with them afterward. Sometimes, we put on our own plays. I like doing this with a lot of history period of different cultures. Sometimes we dress up (sorry for cultural appropriation lol) as some historical figures from other cultures and act out plays. I find this helps them retain the information.

Their plan from the beginning, as flint residents refuse to pay for contaminated water. If you do not pay the water bill for your home that receives water/sewer service, then that unpaid bill can become a lien on the home. That lien, if not paid, can be foreclosed upon.
