Grace Gealey and Trai Byers tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in the Cayman Islands on Thursday.

Byers, 32, popped the question to Gealey, 31, in July. They announced their engagement in October.

The happy couple started dating less than a year ago after meeting on the set of a Fox TV soap opera musical.

I agree. Close family and friends and intimate doesn’t fit in with coworkers, imo. I like that it was small and simple, not an over the top extravaganza to waste $ on impressing and feeding the guests. It should be about the union, not the wedding.

Indeed, bc Trai is (in my humble opinion) the underdog of that show. The fact he is not over exposed and/or walking the tightrope of being typecast (hello Jussie and goodbye Bryshere) will work out in his favor, please believe. His career is just getting started, I believe the same for his lovely bride Grace.

Jussie waited a long time to be overexposed to be fair. I’m happy he is getting a lot of recognition because he’s worked very hard for it and he is the most humble and sweetest human being ever.

Totally agree and his smile is everything, but chances of him becoming typecast are very strong. And if I’m not mistaken he has aspirations of succeeding in music in real life, I hope the show doesn’t hinder that. Lee’s overall agenda needs a helmet. Special as hell.

I was thinking the same thing. I’m starting to grow tired of hearing him sing in every episode, though I love his voice. I hope his musical career is successful outside of the show.

I think if he just gets a role in a film with a more diverse cast (i.e. more white folk like), he’ll be on his way. look at Michael B Jordan. his first big break that opened him to a widespread audience was when he was cast in Friday night lights. he credits that as something that made his career take off.

That’s how we did it! We went to Vegas and celebrated with our families the following weekend! IT WAS GREAT! WE COULDN’T HAVE ASKED FOR BETTER!
