Derek Fisher, 41, and his ex-wife Candace Fisher reached an amicable agreement in their bitter divorce. A judge ordered the former NY Knicks coach to fork over $109,000 a month in alimony support to Candace.
She will also receive an additional $15,000 a month in child support for the couple’s twins, Tatum Fisher and Drew Fisher.
Derek and Candace each brought a child from a previous relationship into the marriage.
The judge took into consideration the high cost of living in New York where Candace resides with the children.
As part of the settlement, the Fishers also agreed to destroy frozen embryos that are chilling in a laboratory somewhere. Candace had her eggs frozen at some point during their 10-year marriage.
Derek and Candace were happily married until Derek discovered he could go be happy with someone else’s wife.
That “someone else” was NBA player Matt Barnes, who jumped into his car and drove 95 miles to confront Fisher at the L.A. home of his estranged wife, Gloria Govan.
Govan and Barnes have twin sons together.
