A Good Samaritan who was gunned down outside a Walgreens in southeast Arlington will be laid to rest today. Former Marine Anthony “T.J.” Antell was killed when he drew his weapon after a deranged active duty soldier shot his wife during a domestic dispute in the parking lot.

Quinisha Johnson and Ricci Bradden had been married for only six weeks when he showed up at her job Monday with a gun and a score to settle.

“The look on his face and I knew he wasn’t supposed to be there… That’s what was scaring me,” Johnson told WFAA News.

Bradden, 22, was furious with Johnson over her new Facebook profile she updated on Monday. Bradden drove 2 hours from Fort Hood to Walgreens in Arlington to confront his wife about the profile photo.

After a brief argument in the parking lot, Johnson turned to walk away. Bradden fired twice at his wife’s feet, striking her once in the ankle.

“At that moment I really felt he was trying to kill me,” Johnson said. “I tried to run into the store. I was screaming. I was telling my managers to lock the doors, because he was coming.”

That’s when former Marine Anthony “T.J.” Antell, who witnessed the shooting, drew his concealed weapon and attempted to make a citizens’s arrest.

But Bradden managed to knock the gun out of Antell’s hand and shot him dead.

The funeral for the 35-year-old father of three will be held at 2 p.m. today at St. John the Apostle United Methodist Church.

Bradden is charged with murder and is being held on a $500,000 bond.
