Janet Jackson dropped a new music video on Wednesday, after ET Online confirmed she is pregnant with her first child at age 49. The song is off her current album, UNBREAKABLE available in stores and on iTunes now.

Jackson celebrates her 50th birthday on May 16.

You know this is a excellent lesson in hypocrisy. We hv 16 year olds having babies and its congrats a baby shower etc. Being young and having a baby is just as hard on the female body both physically and emotionally. We live our lives by studies show or doctors say this and that. Women hv given birth later in life. I’m not buying into the fear. Medical community says alot of things but if women stand on the political view of its my body my choice then they should not waiver because of her age. Its not the years that matter but the quality and love a parent can give that matters the most. Its her body her life and just to be able to experience motherhood is a blessing many will never know. I know I won’t so I am happy when I hear that she is pregnant.

Thank you. We don’t know what is natural, we know what Western medicine tells us. If you have a period and eggs it is natural, it may be rare, but it is natural. Women should be relieved to know that modern medicine is slowly catching up with nature and that healthy babies can be born for older mothers since many women are waiting to have children for a variety of reasons.

I don’t understand how some can be so nasty about her having a baby that will never be on government bennies. Not a one of us will be responsible for her child/children. I’m hard pressed to believe she conceived naturally. She more than likely had eggs frozen YEARS ago. Or at least when the two of them first got together, which was like 6 yrs ago. I mean because the risks of using s 50 year old egg is…..crazy. Rich women that know they may want kids eventually, will do that. And the best way to do so without suffering from the risks. Birth defects, etc.
