Vanessa Williams Married her husband Jim Skrip again — this time in a Catholic church. The couple first tied the knot on July 4 last year in Buffalo, NY.
“Yesterday we took one last walk down the aisle — this time in my little church. Officially wedded Catholic. Amen! #MyJim” she wrote on Instagram.com.
The thrice-married actress told People magazine at the time, “Jim is a real man. You want somebody in your life who has integrity, who is solid, who knows who he is. He’s romantic and he’s a great guy.”
A full reception was held after the current wedding, replete with gold and ivory tents, Moroccan lanterns and an Egyptian theme.
Williams, 53, danced the Nae Nae, the Stanky Leg and the Whip to the delight of her grown daughter, Jillian Hervey, 25, who captured it all on video.
Williams is twice divorced. Her 1st divorce was from executive Ramon Hervey II, the father of three of her 4 children. Her 2nd divorce was from former NBA star-turned-actor Rick Fox – the father of her last child.
Sadly, her current marriage probably won’t last. Women who marry the same guy repeatedly are searching for that lost spark that brought them together in the first place.
That initial infatuation (Dopamine) phase can’t be maintained over the course of a relationship, and one partner (usually the man) begins to look elsewhere for that spark.
Marrying him is only a temporary fix to a permanent problem.
This wouldn’t be a problem if women would only wait until they are sure they are equally yoked. But women rarely ever show such patience.
