Overland Park (Kansas) police officer Rodney Lee is facing disciplinary action after he apparently made a veiled threat toward the daughter of a Facebook user.
Lee made the veiled threat under a Facebook image of a black child that was originally posted in 2014.
Lee wrote: “We’ll see how much her life matters soon.. better be careful leaving your info open where she can be found 
Hold her close tonight, it’ll be the last time.”
Concerned Facebook users took screenshots of the post and posted the images on the Overland Police Department’s Facebook page.
The police department posted a message assuring the public that they were aware of the post.
“Chief Francis Donchez Jr. wants to assure the community the Overland Park Police Department will not tolerate any form of discrimination or threats. Possible disciplinary action for inappropriate behavior by staff members includes several steps including termination of employment.”
One Facebook user defended the officer saying he was simply warning the woman about posting pictures of her child on a page that is open to the public.
“There is no “context” that would ever make this OK,” wrote one Facebook user.
Other Facebook users called for the officer to be terminated.

I would challenge Sandra to post an article on the IQ testing of Law enforcement officers showing that having a high IQ can get you eliminated from the hiring pool of individuals for fear they will become bored and resign. What I cannot understand is why do the cops get to have a “paid vacation,” after using deadly force.
My life flashed before my face numerous times last Thursday. I complained about a mold issue to the apartment manager, and was threatened by a cop. I mean, intimidated, ridiculed, absolutely bullied. And God knows I did nothing to provoke it. I mean, he’s gettin’ it on with the manager here; I’m black, she’s white, the aggressive cop was white and his partner black. I promise you I did not do anything. He yelled at me, literally kicked me out of the leasing office, due to complaining respectfully. As he put me down, and I’m a black mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt just lodging a complaint, and this man violated me verbally, as his black partner stood grinning. He wielded his power over me, and I have never threatened law enforcement, and I work with judges and lawyers. I was humiliated for simply abiding by the rules of my lease contract while showing his woman, the manager, the moldy ventilation cover and styrofoam. I thought about Sandra Bland and left while dialing 911, reporting it to sergeants, and an then Internal Affairs. All in the name of peace. And he does not live here, work here, but I do, and I was stripped of that due to being a darkie. And his partner, a darkie, chuckled and grinned. As soon as I got on the phone calling in to report it, they immediately left. Over here, on taxpayer’s dollars, hanging out with his love interest. I was the black sister that has no right to address an issue to his woman, white.
What an evil person…..to threaten a little child. He needs to be fired.
