A Brooklyn NYPD officer was stripped of his gun and badge and placed on modified duty after new video evidence shows he lied about a fatal road rage incident.
Delrawn Small, 37, was killed after he got out of his car and confronted Officer Wayne Isaacs during a road rage incident on July 4.
Isaacs was on his way home after working his shift at the 79th precinct when he cut off Small’s car in East New York.
The 2 men argued and Small reportedly followed Isaacs’ car for several blocks before getting out of the car to confront Isaacs.
Small’s girlfriend, Zaquanna Albert, 35, who was in the car with their 2 children, tried to stop him from leaving the car.
As Small approached Isaacs’ car, the off-duty cop drew his service weapon and shot him twice in the chest. Small collapsed and died in the street in front of his 2 small children.
Isaacs originally said he fired his gun in self defense after Small repeatedly punched him in the face. But new surveillance video obtained by the NY Post shows Isaacs shot Small immediately after he walked up to his window.
The video shows Small crossing 2 lanes of traffic to get to Isaacs’ car.
After the shooting, Isaacs appeared to tuck his gun in his waistband as he approached the dying man. He did not attempt to perform CPR on Small.
Small’s brother, Victor Dempsey, said the video shows Small was “point-blank murdered.”
