3 Virginia men were critically wounded in a drive-by shooting that was captured on Facebook Live.
The men were sitting in a car listening to rap music and smoking weed about 6 p.m. on Tuesday in the Norfolk suburb of Berkley.
One of the men, identified as T.J. Williams, recorded himself rapping and smoking weed in the passenger seat.
About 5 minutes into the recording, a volley of gunshots can be heard. The cellphone is dropped but it continued recording for another 2 hours.
Family members are heard comforting the men until paramedics arrived.
“Stay calm, stay calm. Stay relaxed. Keep your eyes open. Keep listening to my voice,” said a male voice comforting the victims.
“Three of them got shot. They can’t last long,” said the male to a 911 dispatch.
“Paramedics coming. Keep breathing nephew,” said the male as sirens are heard in the background.
One victim was shot 5 times, while another victim received three gunshot wounds.
A medic is heard telling a victim: “Sorry about this. Your buddy is more shot up than you are. He’s going second, alright? You’re going to be third, okay? A third ambulance is coming.”
The shooting occurred in the 900 block of Bainbridge Boulevard.
The final video was posted on Facebook.com around 9 p.m. Tuesday.
The victims, who are in their 20s, are listed in critical condition.
I’m starting to wonder how many murda ‘s are credited from internet use?
One can only pray that seeing men murdered live will make others turn their lives around. I pray these 3 young brothers pull through. Pathetic?
It’s sad out here
Evening all….
This really can’t be life. This can’t…. I’m so sick of violence….no matter who’s acting it out. Why… You know…. I’m a mother… I’m blessed with two handsome boys 4yo and 12 yo I feel like seeing whats going on in this world I’m a bad mom for bringing them into this. I try to over compensate for that feeling of guilt by loving up on them, their friends and my community… But lately deep down inside I’m getting weary like the little things I’m doing may not save their life, my nephews life or their friends life… Because the love that people need is not consistently being giving…. The involvement needed to nurture mentally and physically healthy human beings is not consistently there in our community… That scares that crap out of me.
No one deserves to die at the hand of another person just because…. Lives are so randomly being taking and I feel so guilty that I birthed my boys into it this…
“Cross the River in a crowd and the crocodile won’t eat you….”
That african proverb doesnt seem to be true anymore …. Seems like no matter where you are or who your with violence(the crocodile) still creeps up on you.
I’m literally in tears right now just thinking how can i be a human shield to not only my boys but to anyone I come into contract with…. Back to brainstorming on what I can and need to do to make sure myself or any other parent will not have to get a call saying one of my boys or their boys have been shot….
Unity is strength, division is weakness. ~ Swahili proverb
This violence amongst each other is our downfall

Omg this is sad. They were minding their business. I pray to God they pull through.
Lord, I figured u have given.up on us…we just will not learn.

me too me too
Do they know who shot them?
hopefully it was not race related and wtf took the ambulance so long. my stepdad is from VA they are shady af ou there
Yup I do know my sister n Virginia
I feel so guilty that I birthed my boys into it this…

Don’t GOD wanted u to have them. Just keep nurturing them. The problem is a lot of these kids didn’t have that. That’s y this is a problem ??
Wouldn’t it be best if we didn’t share this kind of news or make videos like this go viral? No?
aw thanks love…its just so scary …..
but your so right they aren’t being nurtured
see this is why black lives matter movements will never get anywhere. Things like this and the murders of little black babies by their own parents will make sure black people never get equal treatment.
If they know, they won’t tell the police. “No snitch” rule.
The way things go today, the victims know their shooters and they go out to retaliate rather than cooperate with the police. Somebody gonna end up dead.
Maybe minding their business, but at some point in another time they did something bad to somebody.
I suggest you move your boys to Africa or Canada.
Keep praying, it won’t happen.
I like how you found the silver lining in this.. God bless you.. I like the way you think!
Norfolk is not for the faint of heart. The college I went to was in the middle of the hood. One side of the street cool, the next block you don’t want to walk in the daytime.
Clearly. It was in broad daylight and folks immediately comforted them.
Especially in crime ridden areas.
Several folks been shot that way lately.
sad
i tell my son and my brothers cut the chilling out, stay in your damn house. The men out here see a group and just want to shoot for no reason. Sometimes its them assuming so they shoot first.
not here in Toronto. it’s getting ridiculous right now. yesterday in broad daylight at 5pm a 21 year old was shot and killed , bullets were flying from both cars. These boys are young and no one cares for their life or anyone elses. it;s really sad.
Life is beginning to feel like one huge video game to me! I mean Violence Everywhere!
My daughter attends college in Norfolk…school is right in the middle of the hood. One side is the school…across the street the hood da hood.
This new generation that is engrossed in all things internet is a gift and a curse. A gift because we are able to capture things and get information out that in the past we were not able to and a curse because it makes folks more bold and brazen. Incidents like this when people are recording while in shootouts, fights, and drive-bys are beyond sad and heart-wrenching. I couldn’t imagine something happening to someone I love and have to relive it each time it is shown on the internet or watch it in real-time.
#blacklivesmatter
Right? Where’s the outrage, where are the protest?
Prayers
So sad, hopefully they survive.so sick of this violence. Black men are targets for enough folks. They shouldn’t be one for their skin folks to.shouldnt be one at all but this is sad.
im born and raised in va, its shady ANYWHERE in this country
Wow and I was considering Canada if Trump got in. Scratch that back to the drawing board. Ridiculous

I have a friend who lives in Windsor, just over from Detroit, and it is quiet, small town and very safe.
THIS is amazing! I’ll have to get the internet news.
IDK…. How’s the water supply???
Clark Atlanta University is the same way. You walk through the projects to get to class.
Norfolk State?
“The ambulance going to come pick his brains up.” They didn’t know they were rapping about their next moments. Wow! Just very sad.
Absolutely….I read on his page that they are all fine. He posted about an hour ago
Thank goodness.
Sad this Violence has got to Stop
So sad..smh
