Postal worker Iesha Conley is out of a job after she was caught pilfering gift cards from the U.S. mail. Conley allegedly used the stolen card to purchase a gift that keeps on giving.
Conley, 48, came under investigation when a woman complained that she sent a $100 American Express gift card to a relative. The relative discovered that the letter had been opened and the gift card was missing.
When the woman called American express to complain, she was told that the gift card was used to purchase three sex toys online. The adult toys were sent to Conley’s address in Brooklyn.
Investigators examined surveillance footage from the mail processing center where Conley worked and spotted Conley stuffing a mail tray inside a sweatshirt emblazoned with the words “GOT JESUS?” on the front.
The NY Post — The criminal complaint, filed by the Office of the Inspector General for the Postal Service, says Conley used her iPhone to make the racy purchase and that it was delivered to her Brooklyn home.
The same gift card was also used in an attempt to pay a cable bill at Conley’s home, it said.
The complaint says Conley was working at the US Postal Service’s Brooklyn Processing and Distribution Center on the dates the greeting card was processed.
