Rap Titan Tip “T.I.” Harris has a soft spot for children. T.I. is known for his benevolence and generosity at Christmas and year ’round. The father of 7 spread joy and Christmas cheer at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA), Dismas Charities halfway house and 10 single-mother families at Azalea Gardens Apartment Homes in West Atlanta.
According to a press release, Tip and his merry elves rode in Grand Hustle style in a caravan of red drop-top Chevrolet Camaros provided by Terry Cullen Southlake Chevrolet. The cars were loaded with hundreds of toys to give away to the children at each location.
Upon arriving to CHOA, patients were gifted a special present while having a chance to meet and take a picture with Tip. Following CHOA, Tip and the caravan traveled to Dismas Charities (a halfway house that gives men and women releasing from state and federal incarceration the skills and motivation to re-enter society as contributing members), to visit youth with incarcerated parents. Tip felt it was important to visit this facility and give back to the families because of his personal experience of spending holidays there after his previous misstep. “I myself spent a Christmas here, fresh out of prison,” Tip said. “I know what it feels like to not be able to spend Christmas with your kids.” Wrapping up Grand Hustle’s day of giving back, Tip popped up at the Azalea Gardens Apartment Homes to surprise ten single-mother families with Christmas gifts for their children. One specific mother in need was gifted 6-months rent from Tip, which he paid on the spot. “I’m ecstatic to be in a position to give back. It was awesome to see smiles on so many children’s faces,” Tip stated. From bikes to the best gaming consoles, Tip made sure to spread joy for all he visited.

In the video below, Tip greets a single mother at Azalea Gardens apartments in Atlanta. He told her he promised someone he would pay 6-months rent for her. “Come on, I’ma go on and cash out,” Tip says as he pulls out a stack of his own cash and begins doling out hundreds of dollars to the happy mom.
