The hapless Green Bay Packers didn’t stand a chance against Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons’ swarming defense. The Falcons trounced the Packers 44-21 to win the NFC championship at the Georgia Dome on Sunday.
The Falcons easily advanced to their 2nd Super Bowl appearance in team franchise history. Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers suffered his first loss in eight games.
The Falcons will face Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LI in Houston on Feb. 5th. And while the Falcons are slight underdogs going in, their top priority is to avenge the team’s only Super Bowl loss.
“It feels great, but there’s unfinished business,” Ryan said after the game.
