Keiana Herndon

The father of an Arkansas woman is criticizing his daughter's friends who watched her collapse and die in front of her 2-year-old son on Facebook Live.

Keiana Herndon, a single mother-of-two, was singing to friends on the Facebook streaming service from a home in rural El Dorado, when she suddenly collapsed off camera.

Herndon could be heard struggling to breathe in the background while her toddler screamed. Apparently none of her friends called 911.

"It's amazing for someone to sit there and see somebody or hear them take their last breath, and nobody did anything," Herndon’s father Richard told KARK.

Richard Herndon, pictured above, told the station he could not watch the video which is now deleted from Facebook.com.

"As soon as she fell and she didn't grab the phone back, they should have done something," her half-sister Keishun Brown told the NY Daily News.

Brown said Keiana had a thyroid condition and she had collapsed in the past, but she never told friends about her disorder.

KATV reports that "thousands" of people eventually joined Keiana's handful of friends who were watching the clip, which ended 30 minutes later, when the homeowner returned and turned the video off.

This father is mourning got nothing else for this

  • Libra80sBaby

    What??

  • JerseyMom

Her "friends" or viewers ain't shit.....

  • lil goodie

    RIP... THIS IS JUST SAD!!!!!

  • Blaque Mahogany

Maybe they thought it was fake. And I wonder how many actually knew where she lived. I mean call the police and say what...there is a girl streaming live on FB...and she sounds like she's gasping for air...off camera... I don't know where she lives...or where she is currently...but help.

I mean I get it... but I don't think it's black and white.

  • Just saying

That's a small town too. Someone shod have called the cops. Sad

  • Yardgirl

This is just unbelievable! RIP..... *sad*

  • side_i

Very sad but why does the dad think her Facebook friends have her home address?? I highly doubt they were real life friends. Sad situation though.

  • iWasteTime

    RIP!
    This is so sad

  • https://www.styleseat.com/Bellaxpress Danay Helena

What Were the viewers supposed to do?? I would have thought she was joking. RIP to her tho. We all got an expiration date. Never know when it's your time. ?

  • Tlowe89

That's disgusting how some human beings can be. I saw something like this happen on law n order. It's called the bystander effect, which is when no one calls for help because they think someone else in the group or crowd will call or call. Why wait. The police will be ok with receiving multiple calls about this type of incident

  • https://www.etsy.com/shop/AMarieNaturals Lovezoe

Call 911. Especially those who knew her personally.

  • Jen_no_juice

which ended 30 minutes later, when the homeowner returned and turned the video off.
    -----------
Wait so they kept recording for 30 dayum minutes just looking at her on the floor not breathing! This world is sick and disensitized of the value of life. And in front of her son! Yall dumb azz just recording this baby scream for his mama for likes smdh

  • Str8tUpMenace

I just don't understand what has called for people to become so desensitized when someone is in desperate need for help. No one lends a hand anymore. All they do is produce their cell phones and hit record.

RIP to this young lady and condolences to her family.

  • Taylordanes

    Sad situation.....

  • iWasteTime

once it went on and no one comforted the baby they should have called 911, told them what happened, gave her name, phone number and FB name. They could have found her.

  • L.T.L. Since 2007

Especially those who knew her personally.
    ________________________________

    That part.

I assume at least one of them knew where she lived. If she was playing, call the cops then cuss her out later. Tragic that this baby not only lost his mama, but it's a video out there that he could come across and relive all over again.

  • Taylordanes

Th article stated they did not know she had a medical issue, but common sense would have said to call her and see if she was ok or call 911

  • Jen_no_juice

Do you/would you play "pretend dying" with your 2 year old????

  • Str8tUpMenace

I get what you're saying, but with all of the technology that the police have, they would have been able to find her.

  • Incog-knee-gress

Meeting aint started. So she never told anyone she was sick, had fallen out in the past, etc and the dad is blaming them bc they should have done something? I mean I understand his grief and I am sorry for it. On the other hand Im trying to figure out the expectation? How did they know something was REALLY wrong? She fell out of sight from the camera no? I think this was accidental. I know folks want to blame folks. But I truly think this was an accident.
    RIP to her.

  • https://www.etsy.com/shop/AMarieNaturals Lovezoe

But. The. Baby. Was. Crying. There. Was. No. Movement. She. Fell. Back. In. The. Chair.

  • Incog-knee-gress

Says she never told any of them who was watching she was sick or suffered from this issue. IDK....

  • Scromes1212

I saw this on the news. So sad

  • https://www.etsy.com/shop/AMarieNaturals Lovezoe

But it also so the baby was crying. He's probably just making sense of it all.

  • Jen_no_juice

But if she can be heard struggling to breathe AND the baby is crying like something is wrong, why not try to help?

  • https://www.etsy.com/shop/AMarieNaturals Lovezoe

Once the. Say was crying, I don't know.

  • Scromes1212

At least ride by the house or something smh

  • jeniefrumdabloc™

    Exactly ?

  • Tammie Reed

I don't know how I feel about this story. I understand the dad was very upset but if I was watching her, I'm sure like others, what are they supposed to do? Especially if its just a Facebook friend. I don't know many of my friends personally on Facebook, their phone numbers and actual addresses, so what do you do? Explain that to me.

I feel bad for her but I'm not understanding what anyone was supposed to do and if they could have done anything in that short amount of time. So you call 911 to where???? What if you live in another city. Yes, it could have been someone that personally knew her but by the time they did anything I'm sure it would have been too late. I'm not for sitting there watching the full live video either, that's crazy and insane. Its sad all the way around.

  • Junkanoo

People are indiferrent far too often....perhaps if she had told her friends about her condition it may have ended differently maybe not. I had not clue thyroid issues could end in premature death

  • Scromes1212

What's the point of having them as a Facebook friend if they won't even help you if your dying?

  • jeniefrumdabloc™

There is no one to blame here ... And this father is mourning at the end of the day her spirit is free.. I guarantee she would want people to stop the blame game SMH....

  • Tammie Reed

so tell me what do you do? When I first got on Facebook many years ago like most, we didn't know these folks from Adam! I slowly deleted a lot of people but again, I don't know their personal information like many others on there! I cant name 5 people on their that I can pick up the phone and call. I hope you get my point.

  • Libra80sBaby

    Agreed.

  • Scromes1212

I never had Facebook so maybe I see it different. But I just don't get why I would add you as my friend and you don't even have concern for my life or my child's life. If you heard my baby crying live for 30 minutes and you do nothing? That's beyond sad and an indictment on her "friends"

  • Jen_no_juice

I get your point. But how do you watch someone die and not TRY to help? Call 911 and give the situation with the fb user name, city she's in, something. Not just watch someone die in real life in real time like it's a movie

  • Scromes1212

    Exactly.

  • Tammie Reed

I hear you but I have over 4,000 friends on my Facebook but remember that it started when you just accepted folks, so again, I don't know but maybe 100 people personally but again my own family members don't have my home address and some don't even have my cell number. I don't know! I don't have the answers.

  • Chardonnai

This was created by design by the powers that be. Eventually we become numb to murder, death, police brutality etc. We wont even blink an eye.

  • YouWontSayItButIWill

    He is grieving....end of story.

  • Tammie Reed

Maybe people did, we don't know. I know when you call 911 they need a lot of info! I know I couldn't really do much trying to explain that situation then you're still not really helping. You also cant always believe everything online either. Just because someone typed something doesn't mean its bible. Im not sure

  • Jen_no_juice

    This is true!

  • Chardonnai

FB was initially for college students only. Thats when I actually knew the people who I was friends with. Everybody that I was cool with basically migrated over from Myspace.

  • free

I read both she and the child were out of the frame. I think we would have to view the video to see exactly how it appeared to everyone. I'm also curious about the comment section.

  • Scromes1212

I feel what your saying but for me it just goes back to fake friends in general. It's like with Sandra Bland, all those so called friends and the only person you can get to pick up the phone is the bail bondsman? For two days? People need to put more value into the people they care about and have there back. In my humble opinion

  • ShadesofEMPRESS

This is so sad. RIP to the family of this young woman.

  • disqus_FW7pCIigCY

how were they suppose to know something so tragic was occurring in front of their eyes?

  • http://batman-news.com Roderick2011

    1) You're assuming that her Facebook friends who were viewing at the time were local
    2) You're assuming the viewers knew where she lived
I am on a couple of social media sites and most of the people I chat with don't even live in the States.

  • Tammie Reed

I got on Facebook about 2 yrs after it was fully launched, I didnt care to reach out to h.s./college friends lol. No thanks!

  • free

half of my FB friends don't know who most of their "friends" are. many young people's friends are mostly acquaintances. what did the comments say? it's easy for the father to judge because he knows her condition. i think we'd have to see the video because i read both she and the child were out of the frame.

  • sunni_daze

I get the FB friend thing, but most of us have real life friends that have our phone numbers or addresses. Maybe if she spoke on her illness, someone would have done something. This is very sad.

  • Scromes1212

I'm assuming that in 2017 you don't need my personal address to locate me. I find it hard to believe that of all those thousands of people no one was local. But you have a point.

  • Chardonnai

Most of the people I'm friends with on FB dont even live in the same city as I do. That includes my family. The word "friend" dont mean the same thing as it use to mean. Nowadays folks just dont want to get involved.

  • That’s Interesting

They probably couldn't have done anything to save her but they should have done something. I mean not a single person notified the authorities or Facebook. What a shame. I'm not surprised tho. It's a cold world???

  • Torae

All these excuses for dumb ass people on social media. So the video was recording for 30 mins and no one thought to call 911? Thousands of people watching her lay and die and no one said let me try to call 911 somewhere and give them her name. Im so sick of this world we live in. A whole lot of selfish people who just want to be entertained. ? I dont want to hear how was anyone supposed to know????...people know its called INTUITION or COMMON SENSE!!

  • Chardonnai

It came out the actual year I was graduating from undergrad. I was moving to another state for my masters degree. It was important that I brought my college friends with me, even if it was virtual.

Hell most of friends on FB are from college. Its a bond that cant be broken.

  • Scromes1212

    Exactly!

  • Jen_no_juice

I don't think I could watch it. But this story (which is all I used to base my statement on)stated she could be heard gasping for air. So even if she's out of the frame, I think folks should know what gasping for air sounds like

  • Candance

I can imagine it was so shocking that no one knew what to do.... like is this real is it not. That could have been a very confusing moment. Now looking back I bet everyone wish they would have called.

  • stanley

People might follow you on social media, but that doesn't mean they actually care about you.

That's why I don't share my personal life on social media anymore. Nobody cares if you depressed or happy. It's all entertainment to them.

But when I come across people that's suicidal I always step in... I helped a few other young black men struggling with depression get through it before.. And 1 of those guys later told me that if I didn't respond to his tweets, he probably would of killed himself. He just needed someone to show that they cared. It's an hard world in this capitalist society... It's all about "Individualism" Looking out for yourself.

  • Oliver Brady

Blame. A stage of grief. It's normal. May she rip.

  • AG

    Again, The Hunger Games.

  • http://batman-news.com Roderick2011

    Whatever dude.

When I had facebook I would periodically delete friends and realized that I had not ever exchanged any messages with them.

They were just adding to their friend count, but again you don't understand social media behavior.
People only want to go as far as seeing others in the virtual world and never meeting the person in real time so it's not difficult for me to think that most people didn't know where she lived.

  • AG

He didn't "blame" them like some of you are saying. He is simply wondering why none of them had the decency or common sense to call for help.

  • Scromes1212

He is pointing out the obvious. Which he should

  • http://batman-news.com Roderick2011

If any of them had call 911 the dispatch would have asked for the victim's address.
Again the internet has causes people to live in bubbles and become emotionally disconnected.

  • nekkkyj

I understand the father is grieving but some people don't post their real information on social media

  • MissHarlem

People confuse social media with substance and validation. Neither is true. I haven't been on fb in years and don't plan on it. Stick with your real live friends who can and will be there for you in your time of need. I definitely miss the days where social contact was genuine and not for likes. Just my take

  • Scromes1212

    Agreed!

  • Chardonnai
  • Rachel

Rip to this young lady but her dad needs to understand people collect fb friends like trading cards the more the merrier. Who's to say somebody actually watched the whole live feed? I know when I see someone has went live I give a few seconds and keep scrolling mainly because most of all the live feeds I see are a waste of time. May she RIP.

  • Blaque Mahogany

Serious question-- (to no one in particular, just in general from reading all of the comments)

Do you think that if Sally in Virginia is FB friends with Rebecca in Detroit and Sally thinks Rebecca is in trouble, that Sally could have called the police in Virginia and that the police in Virginia could have alerted the police in Detroit, and the police in Detroit could have found Rebecca before she died? I wrote this run on sentence purposefully so that you can see all of the conditions that needed to be met.

I'm not being funny... I really want to know if some of you truly believe this scenario could have occurred. It is obviously a hypotethical...

  • https://twitter.com/Chicagowise Chicagowise

Facebook is evil and should be destroyed.

  • Scromes1212

Yes. Why could it have not occurred?

  • Blaque Mahogany

Thousands of people watching her lay and die
    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Per the write up, she collapsed OFF the camera...

  • bella28498 .

These are strange days we are living in

  • Blaque Mahogany

They probably could not have found her in 30 minutes if they were in the same dam state, city, county. And even if they did find her...depending on where she was it could have been 30 minutes until the emergency responders ACTUALLY arrived. I mean come on now. She's dead. It's sad. Perhaps someone should have called. Idk. I didn't watch the video. I don't know how "real" it seemed. But to act like this could have been avoided...unequivocally...is ludicrous.

  • Scromes1212

I'm not the smartest guy when it comes to technology, and I have a flip phone but if a smart phone is on then all you need is the phone number to locate it, right?

  • Latisaj

    Well said!!

  • Desiree Edwards

yes, they could've called. It doesn't matter how many steps, maybe her life could've been saved. you just never know, this story is very heartbreaking!

  • Scromes1212

But it's a smart phone. And it's on. If you give the dispatcher the number it doesn't take 30 minutes to locate it.

  • scentsychick30

He's just hurt, most likely those people don't know where she lived. Most likely folks from different cities watching. So sad rip to his daughter.

  • Torae

I dont think anyone is acting like it couldve been avoided but one will never know what couldve occurred if someone at least tried.

  • Blaque Mahogany

What's the point of having them as a Facebook friend if they won't even help you if your dying?
    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Rofl. This brought tears to my eyes. I'm not laughing at the girl's death...at all. But some of you are so dang dramatic, and you clearly have no idea how social media works. I know people that have their address listed as Belize City, Belize and they don't even own a passport. I'm unable...

  • Branch Davidian

But I bet she got a ton of likes!

  • Torae

thanks for pointing that out but people heard her gasping for air...common sense not so common... per write up She could BE HEARD STRUGGLING FOR AIR!!!

  • Blaque Mahogany

Where would they get the smartphone number? It's FB. They weren't facetiming.

  • Annaunki

Im not on social media anymore either. I did the Block all texts and if you wanted to talk you have to call or else....lol

  • nucynu25

Sorry for his loss ..baby girl watch ova your baby she'll need your guidance ?

  • cherrypie

    Dang...That was unnecessary!!

  • MissHarlem

My location is off and not being tracked. Prior to me taking off the settings you can see everything I did or been via my phone. I'm sure it's ways around it but this is not cut and dry. Tragic yes but again her real live friends is who I expect to be there for her. Fb people to me are lurking strangers. People blur reality with fantasy with social media.

  • 4FlavorsOfMe CreoleMami

I responded to 2 ppl in the past who were posting about suicide and I am glad I did... its crazy to me how some people will poke fun at suicide. Recently I was on FB and this girl had her nudes leaked she was posting about suicide and no lie 80% of the people were laughing and making jokes. I will never laugh at that you just neve know what a person is going through some people are reaching out and asking for help. That is awesome that you were there to reach out and save lives :)

  • Scromes1212

So out of thousands of people, not one had her number? Not buying that. People on SR have probably never met and some have each other's numbers I'm sure.

  • Incog-knee-gress

Have an ex who has his city listed as LA, California and he is right on up the street in Durham.

  • SingleGalCrazyWorld

True I thought this too.... but a smart phone can only be triangulated to the nearest cell tower. There was a case on 20/20 where this couple was high trapped in a snow storm and called 911. I think they died because the dispatchers and officers could only find the cell tower that the phone was closest too during the storm. If it was a landline thats something different.

  • Chardonnai

    LMAO!

  • hottlanta

Someone said gurl stop playing get your butt up off the floor. Sometimes you don't know until it is toooo late.

  • Incog-knee-gress

Another thing...we dont know and even her father doesnt know WHO in their OWN local area to tried to call their LOCAL emerg. services. If this girl was in Arkansas and I call RPD and Im like hey someone on my FB feed just collapsed...I dont know ANY information about her...how will Arkansas know that I even tried?

  • Scromes1212

See I was thinking that was the phone signal not the gps. I thought that's two different things. Like how uber works. It can track your phone location anywhere if there app is on your phone. If she had apps on that phone that number can be tracked if the phone is on.

  • thehumble1

AWE R.I.P. baby girl may God keep your son wrapped in his arms.

  • Sucker Free

The write up is misleading...no one watched her die

Even if she told someone it can't guarantee that person's assistance at the required moment in time...

Just goes to show what a colossal waste of time Facebook truly is...

  • Scromes1212

Facebook is a app on a phone, that means it can easily be tracked and found.

  • Incog-knee-gress

    +1

  • Blaque Mahogany

FB is not necessarily an app on a phone. I am not trying to be funny, but didn't you say: 1) you don't know much about social media; and 2) you don't have FB? Don't you think your lack of information/knowledge is relevant and perhaps affecting your ability to see the situation for what it is?

  • LibraGirlonly

Damn don't people have more important things to do other than being on social media?? Helping kids with homework, taking college courses to better yourself. Umm anything that will get you ahead. I don't have time for social media cause I'm way to busy and it amazes me that other people have time to post any and everything. What a waste of time.

  • Blaque Mahogany

Just for fun...some of you IT experts should google how easy (read: difficult) it is to actually track/locate someone using their phone.

  • MissHarlem
  • LibraGirlonly

I just said that. Smh meanwhile the powers are putting laws in place like giving children a felony if the fight or bully in school.

  • Alicia.Ashe

We're these her actual friends that she hung out with? Or just people she met on FB? My condolences to her family.

  • B.Sweet Glow-up 2017

The family is hurt and hopeful that someone would've tried to help. Unfortunately this may not have been possible with 'social media friends who don't really know you' and even if it had been it would've likely suffered from the bystander effect. My condolences to this family as I know this is difficult to handle.

  • Blaque Mahogany

Damn don't people have more important things to do other than being on social media??
    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Pot meet kettle. I don't have FB anymore. But you are on a blog. This probably takes more time than scanning through FB/ IG/Twitter. Six in one hand; half a dozen in the other.

  • Low E. TUH!

FOR SURE...HOWEVER THE THOUSANDS DIDN'T TUNE IN UNTIL AFTER SHE HAD ALREADY COLLAPSED, AND, QUIET AS IT'S KEPT, HER FAMILY WASN'T THE ONES WATCHING...SOMEONE DEFINITELY WOULD'VE CALLED.

  • Scromes1212

I have a iPad with uber on it and it can pick up my location anywhere. I thought Facebook was a app, my bad but every iPhone can be tracked using gps if it's on, that's a fact. And most apps have gps.

  • Scromes1212

    That's probably true.

  • Lisa daniels

Real friends know the phone number and address as well as if you have any kind of medical condition. They did not know and she did not tell them because obviously these were not her real friends and she aint trust them like that.

  • Lisa daniels

    Say that again

  • Blaque Mahogany

Did she have an iPhone? Was her GPS tracker on? Who would they call? Out of the thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of women recording live, how would they know which phone to track? We have this thing called the 4th amendment for a reason. Again, there are a lot of things that you are not TAKING into account and a lot of things that you are simply unfamiliar with.

  • Jussie-JustLooking4Peace

Unfortunately this may not have been possible with "social media friends"

    ====================
Lets keep it real in 2017

Social media friends often aren't real persons and just assume sit there and watch you die.

But I as human that cares about all people. A person in need is a person in NEED. Society is really falling about.

So mad about this, it really breaks my heart. Feeling so bad for the family loosing someone so young. May her soul rest in peace.

But you just got on here and attacked people who choose to get on social media. This is a form of social media. What do I need to try again? I can probably tell you how to get to one of my friends house, but I cant give an actual address.

You cant tell 911 go 3 miles up the road, make a right and its the yellow house on the left. Thats not an accurate address.

I mean that's what she said. They don't have anything better to do blah blah blah. I can't with the fake air of superiority. The same ish she says about people using FB is the same stuff that people have said about SR's commenters. Some of the regulars can confirm.

  • RespectSelf

wow people really sat there watching and didn't call the police or anything... this is really sad

Thyroid problems can result in death if left untreated. -for her to die of a heart-attack, she was probably suffering from a thyroid storm related to having an OVERactive thyroid which can cause heart palpitations, high bloodpressure; sweating, weight loss, neuromuscular problems, memory loss, depression, sleep disorders and more.

The thyroid hormones affects affects every cell in the body and inter-related. It is no joke: if there is a problem, see a doc or ER asap.

  • Datsmdubya2u2

The people who know you in real life are the ones least likely to be watching you "live" on social media..probably the ones watching had no idea where she even lives....

  • Fendi aka Erin Blockabitch

You can access social media accounts from the Internet. It's not imperative that you use an app unless you want to access certain functions that only the app provides. Using an app, you have to give permission for it to show your location. I don't give that permission.

Even with a cell phone number, it isn't necessarily reflective of your residential location. And if you cell phone carrier tracks your address, it may be a mailing address, not a physical address.

No one I know via social media has anything but a phone number or mailing address for me and that's only two people I can think of. Beyond that, they couldn't dispatch police to me if I was in distress.

  • Rayne

    Very FAWKING sad.

  • the guest

    Heartbreaking.

How do people watch on social media a person suffering a heart attack, or a sucidal person, or a person threatening to harm their own children and do nothing? I don't understand.

My heart is breaking for this beautiful mom, her beautiful two baby boys and her devastated dad. Thank god those baby boys have their loving grandpa.

Two years ago SR blog posted a story about a young black male artist who was scheduled to appear at an art festival. He had posted online about feeling alone and depressed and not sure if he could make it to the festival. Well, I took it upon myself and called that festival and told them one of their artists had the blues and to check on him. They were like What are we supposed to do.

People are so desensitized these days.

  • CaliGONECRAZY

Her dad is actually talking about her REAL FRIENDS that are on Facebook. Yes they should have called the police. I know for a fact at least one of her good friends knew where she lived!

  • Soon2BWife

I remember once when I was around 17 I was at Grand Central station with my mom and sister. We were people watching at the top of a really long escalater. This old woman got hung up right as she was getting off. Thus, the people behind her couldn't get off. As a result, people started piling up and crushing each other yet the people at the bottom who were still getting had no clue. I immediately ran to the other end and shouted down to people to stop getting on and got the attention of a station worker who was able to shut escalator off. My point is I don't buy into the bystander effect I think it is just a matter of not giving AF or a lack of fight response.

  • Aly

See this right here makes me glad I stay to myself. I've been on FB for years and have only 120 friends. I do not accept request I do not know or don't like. I never understood how or why people take pride in having hundreds and thousands of friends on their page when they don't even know most of them.

  • Dee

I have less than 20 and rarely accept requests and have everything private and even my friends cant see what I do or where I go on FB. Not sure why the need for everyone to see what you are doing all day every day and why people need so much damn attention.

  • Karma WhO

This is disgusting. Social media had made humans so disgusting!! Have you guys seen that commercial where there's a girl sitting passed out at the bus stop and the PSA says so and so (cant remember the name) has 349 friends none of them suggested she skip the next drink, so and so has 349 friends none recommended she drink water, so and so has 349 friends but none of them made sure she got home safe. So and so has 349 friends but tonight all she needed was 1 good one...

  • Tequila Mockingbird

And this is exactly why I DONT DO SOCIAL MEDIA. I'm very private, I don't get why other ppl don't value privacy

KATV reports that “thousands” of people eventually joined Keiana’s handful of friends who were watching the clip, which ended 30 minutes later, when the homeowner returned and turned the video off.

So pretty much their stupid fawking arses told people to come watch because something was wrong. And of THOUSANDS....NOBODY, I MEAN NOBODY called 911?!?!??? I fawking absolutely cannot with people. This is sad and disgusting.

Yea, I know via google dash if your locatiom is on they TRACK EVERYTHING.

Once I started tracking my ex? I never put my location on again!!

But aside from crazy ex's I am sure they can track via cell towers and maybe wifi signals to get a approximate location.

I know Facebook has a feature or had a feature called 'Check in' that also tracks location if it is on

  • Depths Of My Soul!

I know my location is always off.

When I Google I get NY results but now that I am in Maryland all my results are for Maryland but then again I use wifi from time to time also

They made a spectacle of her suffering and she was dying in the presence of her small children. At least one person should have felt inclined to call 911 or how about not one person actually attempted go to her location themselves. It is truly unbelievable and heartbreaking.

Her poor heartbroken dad can blame whomever he darn well pleases. Let's all Pray for his strength and comfort in his bereavement and bringing up her boys.

  • the guest

Don't mean to sound too harsh, but social media friendships can be shallow, ego based and toxic.

  • ?E?E?M?A

I agree with you completely. People are so desensitized now with everything being posted on Social Media. To watch a person fall off camera and stay there for 30 minutes??!! and NO ONE thought something was wrong?! Crazy, sad and on the verge of deranged

  • charallday

    ????

  • charallday

I only have family on mine

  • Alexis Carson

No its not their fault but to people that were watching.. if a person was singing and all of a sudden they just stop and fall out of chair or collapse and you DID see it.. for you to just sit there and watch it and not do or SAY anything..come on that is pretty damn shady. He didn't say it was there fault he is just saying how come no one noticed it and didn't say anything or ask if she was ok. They SAW her and listened to her sing but they didn't SEE her suddenly collapse or notice she out of the blue just stopped singing??

Lets think clearly for a moment people.

  • Alexis Carson

THANK YOU. Thats what i said.

  • Rayne

    Straight up.

  • Mystery User

Social media hasn't made anyone disgusting, it's only exposed people for who they really are.

  • Drea982

OMG I did not want to laugh but you made me.

  • Tequila Mockingbird

    I'm sorry.

  • ZRoJoTheLezBeyond

That's true, no one knew she had a thyroid condition. I agree it's not any of her FB friend's fault but I think the point her dad was trying to make was how no one did anything after she dropped the camera. From the way the story reads it could be heard she was struggling to breath and her toddler was screaming in the background. I would think that would be cause for alarm if she dropped the camera all of a sudden in the middle of singing. Yes, this is very unfortunate all the way around.

  • ZRoJoTheLezBeyond

*high fiving you on that one* No profile to fill out on here, no need to give out personal info unless you just feel like it. I only read and comment during the week while at work when I'm not busy. Not during my personal time. I haven't any social media accounts or dating sites I am attached to. All that mess is behind me and has been for almost 2 years now. Don't miss any of it either.

  • Drea982

    Lol it's ok

  • T3

I'm blown away by this. I'm hurt too that we have come to this.

  • Mrs. (Asexual) Elmo

You never KNOW how you would react unless you are put in that situation. People can say a million things about what they would of done. You can call 911 and that still might not of saved her. Death is a sad thing, but it happens. Accept it. People react differently to certain situations. Her friend might not be certified in CPR...The people watching may not have known her location. It's not their fault.

  • Alexis Carson

No one (including her father) said it was anyone's FAULT! This is about seeing something out of the norm and speaking up. Ask is she ok??? People can reach out to other people on Facebook to fight, argue, accuse and voice negative comments, and all other non important foolishness. Just like they can reach out to find out who she is as a singer... or message her, they could have reached out to ask if she was ok. And you need to read the article AGAIN. Because her father clearly said HER FRIENDS didn't say anything. These aren't strangers... he is referring to the people that knew her. So they knew exactly where she was and where she lived. They weren't strangers just scrolling around on Facebook. You don't have to be certified in CPR, to call 911, or send a text or make a phone call to ask her or say " hey saw the video you ok??" very simple! That's a bunch of foolery.

  • Karen Wilson

Were these real friends or FaKebook friends? I would think real friends and family would have contacted emergency services.

  • ?Time2Shine?

See that's where I went into detail on my will. Not only will it be in a private location but "check a bïtch at the door" has already been Paid for (and then some because I'm thinking 50 years ahead), to keep all stalkers out. Yes, im THAT petty and proud of it. Some sick folks just want to see you casket sharp. If I dont fvck with you in life, don't get amnesia all of the sudden, when you think because I'm dead, we cool. No future pics with my enemies.

  • Paul Autry

Well...captain Kirk (Shatner) warned us that none of our so-called Facebook friends would loan us fifty bucks if needed and to delete all friends.

  • Tequila Mockingbird

Right? I'll have security checking ppl off an invite list and ppl have to show their invite AT THE DOOR! Hahahaha. I'm not fake in life I sure as hell won't be in death. I also won't take ppl making a mockery out of my at death either like, you don't like me you bring flowers to be buried with me? Why? That's disgusting I WILL NOT rest in peace

  • ?Patty Kakes?

Poor thing smh. Good bless her

  • John Holladay

she didn't drop off camera. she actually fell out in front of the camera. You didn't have to guess you could tell something was medically wrong. Its like seeing someone pass out on the side walk and step over them. you could immediately tell something was wrong.
