Rapper Soulja Boy has been charged with felony firearm possession. The 26-year-old rapper, whose real name is DeAndre Cortez Way, was busted Monday and charged with illegal possession of a military-style pistol and a handgun.
According to the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office, the rapper is facing one count each of possessing a “Mini Draco AR-I5” and being a felon in possession of a .45-caliber Glock handgun.
He is also charged with one misdemeanor count of possession of a stolen weapon, the Glock pistol.
He faces more than four years in prison if convicted.
The rapper has been involved in an ongoing dispute with singer Chris Brown in recent weeks.
