President-elect Donald Trump has won over “Family Feud” host Steve Harvey. The 59-year-old media mogul met with the 70-year-old PEOTUS at Trump Tower in NYC on Friday.
After the meeting, Harvey spoke to reporters in the lobby of the Manhattan landmark.
Harvey said Trump reiterated his promise to fight urban blight in the inner cities and to rebuild black neighborhoods.
“I came and talked to the guy who’s going to be the 45th President of the United States,” Harvey said. “[We spoke about] housing for urban development [to] bring some positive change in the inner cities. He wants to do something. He realizes he needs some allies in that department. He seemed really sincere about it.”
Harvey said he and Trump spoke about everything from golf to “Family Feud”.
“[Trump’s] a big fan,” Harvey said of “Family Feud… The Trumps being on ‘Family Feud?’ Against the Obamas? That’d be good. Or how about the Clintons?”
The business tycoon impressed Harvey, who says his social media followers have been giving him a hard time over his support of Trump.
But what people don’t understand is that Trump is a wealthy businessman who will do a lot for small business people.
“We laughed a little bit. I ain’t been laughing that much the past few days they’ve been beating me up on the Internet,” said Harvey.
As for going into politics himself?
“I ain’t going to pass a background check.”
