President Donald Trump's top advisers are urging him to purge Obama's appointees from the government.
Trump's advisers warn him that the former president's political appointees are the source of damaging leaks to the press in an effort to undermine the Trump administration.
"His playbook should be to get rid of the Obama appointees immediately," said Newt Gingrich. "There are an amazing number of decisions that are being made by appointees that are totally opposed to Trump and everything he stands for. Who do you think those people are responding to?"
"If you employ people who aren't loyal to you, you can't be surprised when they leak," said longtime Trump adviser Roger Stone. Another insider said: "He should have gotten these people who are out to get him out a long time ago, a long, long time ago. I think they know that now."
In related news, Valerie Jarrett, special advisor to former President Obama, has moved into the Obamas' Washington, D.C. mansion.
Jarrett reportedly has a suite of rooms at the mansion which will serve as "the nerve center of a mounting insurgency against [Obama’s] successor, President Donald J. Trump."
Obama and Jarrett's ultimate goal is "to force Trump to resign or to have him impeached."
