Monica Brown heard your concerns over the whereabouts of her husband, retired NBA Development League star Shannon Brown. Shannon, 31, picked up a few extra pounds after he was drafted in the 2nd round by the Detroit Pistons affiliate D-League team the Grand Rapid Drive late last year. But he didn’t last long.
Brown had hoped to transition quickly from the D-League back to the NBA. But he was plagued by the same rumors that followed him throughout his NBA career.
Brown, who played for eight NBA teams, was waived by the Drive on Nov. 10, 2016 as “physically unable to play at this time,” according to published reports.
MSU star Sterling Brown, 22, will follow in his big brother’s footsteps when the NBA draft is held on June 22.
