Entrepreneur NeNe Leakes announced her long-awaited return to the Real Housewives of Atlanta reality TV series yesterday. The 49-year-old mother-of-2 made the announcement on her Instagram page late Wednesday.
Leakes returns to the reality TV series that she helped create. She sat out all of season 8 to pursue other television opportunities.
“It’s been a long process but we’ve finally reached an agreement!” Leakes wrote, referring to bitter negotiations with Bravo TV. “All Hail the Queen for season 10 of #RHOA @bravotv #thethreatisback”.
“Got my eyes closed thinking bout how imma get you bitches together! Let’s go #RHOA #thethreatisback #Queen,” she wrote under a heavily Photoshopped image of herself wearing a crown and hoisting a peach atop a champagne glass.
Leakes joins fellow original RHOA cast member Kim Zolciak who is returning to the series in a limited capacity because she has her own reality TV show ratings to worry about.
Leakes will be eligible for an AARP card when she turns 50 on December 13.
