R&B singer August Alsina is accused of flashing a gun at four fans who followed him around a grocery story. The incident happened on Wednesday night at a Food 4 Less in the San Fernando Valley, California.

Police say four fans — three girls and a male — recognized the hip hop singer and asked him for pictures. According to TMZ.com, the 24-year-old told them he wasn’t feeling well, and begged them to leave him alone. But the fans continued to annoy the star so a store employee called the cops.

Sources tell TMZ that the group followed Alsina out of the store and into the parking lot. Alsina allegedly grabbed a gun from his car and placed it in his waistband in full view of the four Stans as they approached his car.

Alsina had left the scene before police officers arrived. Police made out a brandishing firearm report and determined the singer didn’t point it at the fans or make any threats.

In a video message on social media last month, Alsina opened up about his battle with chronic liver disease.

“I’m sicker than ever and having a hard time accepting what I feel,” he wrote under a video of a sit-down interview with longtime friend Jada Pinkett Smith, 45.

He said he was having trouble accepting the news his doctors gave him after he tumbled off stage during a concert in 2014.

“The reality is that I’m sick all the time,” he told Smith.

“After sitting down and talking with my fathers, mother and sister, they explained to me that sickness and illness runs in my family.”

He added: “I don’t really like to talk about it because I’m not looking for anybody’s sympathy. Don’t treat me like I’m a f-cking cancer patient, because I’m not.

“I feel a sadness and depression that is embedded into my DNA.”
