Security experts say one of the cardinal sins in their field is allowing unauthorized persons to get too close to the person they are protecting. Mariah Carey‘s bodyguards displayed an inexcusable lapse in security after they allowed a random fan to touch the Diva.
The fan not only touched Mariah but he also ran his hand through her weave as she and rumored boyfriend Bryan Tanaka left Mastro’s Steakhouse in Beverly Hills on Monday.
The man squeezed through her security and got right up next to Carey who remained calm and forced a smile as Bryan pushed the man away.
The 47-year-old songbird is reportedly furious, and she is looking to replace her entire security team.
“When a star on Mariah’s level pays thousands of dollars a day for security, this is unforgivable,” said an insider. “What if the man had a knife or a gun? We would be grieving the loss of another superstar.”
