Kandi Burruss‘s southern cuisine restaurant just barely passed a surprise health inspection 2 weeks ago.
The Old Lady Gang Southern Cuisine restaurant, located at 177 Peters Street in Alanta’s warehouse district, received a 78 (Grade C) score from the Fulton County Health Inspector on August 24.
The restaurant’s menu is based on recipes from Kandi’s mom, Mama Joyce and her two aunts Nora and Bertha Jones, hence the restaurant’s name, Old Lady Gang.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star quietly opened the eatery earlier this year after numerous delays that played out on the show, according to EURweb.com.
The inspection found a laundry list of violations including inadequate hand washing facilities, unsanitary food contact surfaces and improper cooking time and temperatures.
Atlanta restaurants that fail inspections are given one chance to clean up their act before they are forced to close down.
