Weinstein is accused of sexually harassing dozens of actresses and models. Three women came forward on Tuesday to accuse the movie mogul of rape.
After nearly a week of silence, former President Barack Obama finally released a statement on Tuesday, saying he was “disgusted” by Weinstein’s sex scandal.
“Michelle and I have been disgusted by the recent reports about Harvey Weinstein. Any man who demeans and degrades women in such fashion needs to be condemned and held accountable, regardless of wealth or status.”
Hillary Clinton also broke her silence and denounced her friend.
Weinstein, 65, flew to Europe on Tuesday to enter a sex addiction rehab, hours after his wife, Georgina Chapman, announced she was leaving him.
“My heart breaks for all the women who have suffered,” she said in a statement on Tuesday.
