Corey Feldman called the LAPD to name the pedophiles he says molested him when he was a teenager. Feldman made the call during an appearance on Dr. Mehmet Oz‘s show, sources tell Page Six.
The 46-year-old actor is making the rounds of talk shows to promote his campaign to raise $10 million for a film documentary on the subject.
The Goonies star is accused of being an opportunist. He had a tense discussion on the Today Show regarding his plans to name his molesters — after he raises $10 million for his film.
The mother of late actor Corey Haim, who died of pneumonia at age 38, accused Feldman of being a “scam artist”.
“He’s been talking about revealing the names of his and other abusers for seven years, since my son died,” Judy Haim told The Hollywood Reporter.
Judy admits that her late son, pictured right, was molested by at least one man when he was a child, but she questioned why Feldman needs $10 million to expose the men who allegedly raped him.
“Now he wants $10 million to do it? Come on. It’s a long con. He’s a scam artist. If he was serious about this, he’d share the information he has with the police.”
In response to the criticism, Feldman reportedly called the LAPD to name the men during the Dr. Oz segment.
“Dr. Oz encouraged him to call the LAPD again after child abuse claims. He revealed two new names,” an insider told Page Six.
In a clip from the show, Feldman tells the LAPD, “I’m going to give you the names of everybody… everybody I’ve got knowledge of, and I would like you to start putting the pressure on all of them.”
So far, the campaign has raised over $160,000.
