A female robbing crew used mace and a stun gun to rob a Victoria’s Secret boutique in Mandeville, Louisiana Tuesday night. Surveillance video shows the women boldly walking out of the store carrying $1,500 worth of merchandise.

When workers tried to stop them the thieves used a stun gun and mace to overpower the workers.

The robbery occurred at 7 p.m. at the Premier Shopping Center, according to WWLTV.com.

The robbers were described as five black women — three light skinned and two with darker complexions. All five of the suspects were in their 20s and between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-10.

“This is much more than a felony shoplifting,” said Mandeville Police Chief Gerald Sticker. “We are treating this as an armed robbery which carries a much stiffer penalty.”

He added: “This is over and above your average shoplifting. They armed themselves. It fits an armed robbery and when we catch these individuals, that’s what they’ll be charged with.”

Police ask anyone with information to call the Mandeville Police Department at 985 626 9711.
