New York rapper Dave East, pictured right, is not happy with his recent collaboration with rumored ghey rapper Li’l Uzi Vert.
East, 29, is spouting off about his record label forcing him to record a collabo with the 23-year-old “Money Longer” rapper.
East recently discussed his frustration at melodic rappers like Uzi in an interview with Canadian magazine SSENSE.
“I just did a track with Uzi, but I’m not the biggest fan of the song, just because that ain’t me. We all could get super high, get an Air BnB, listen to Metro Boomin, or one of the beats that’s killing the club, but that don’t really take too much,” East said.
“For an artist like me that’s lyrical, that likes to write and do research on the dudes before me, I just really want to talk some sh-t and have you listen while others are turning up,” he added.
Uzi and Atlanta rap artist Li’l Yachty were recently called out by rapper Kodak Black who described them as teh ghey in a freestyle rap.
“I don’t even listen to Uzi/These n*ggas d-ck in the booty/They confusing the community/I don’t even listen to Yachty/He don’t even be dropping no knowledge.”
