The Internet is abuzz over singer Freddie Jackson‘s dramatic weight loss. A recent video uploaded to Facebook.com raised new concerns about the R&B crooner’s health status.
But in 2015, the “You Are My Lady” singer had a perfect explanation for his skeletal appearance.
In an interview with WBLS radio, Jackson, 61, dismissed rumors that he was at death’s door or he had HIV.
Jackson said he lost 107 pounds by living a healthier lifestyle and changing his bad eating habits.
He also said he lost weight as a natural process of getting older.
“I couldn’t do anything about getting older. We’re gonna get older by the grace of God,” he said.
Jackson added that he didn’t want to wait for his doctor to tell him, “You’ve got to lose 50 pounds.” Jackson said he “grabbed the bulls by the horn” and took control of his life.
