Oprah Winfrey and Stedman Graham

Oprah Winfrey is actively thinking about running for president in 2020, according to CNN.

Sources close to the 63-year-old media mogul tells CNN the television titan has been thinking about running for president for months.

Her longtime partner Stedman Graham is confident that Oprah will run in 2020. "It's up to the people. She would absolutely do it," he told the LA Times on Sunday.

Oprah unofficially threw her hat into the ring with an impassioned speech supporting the #MeToo movement while accepting a lifetime achievement award during the 2018 Golden Globes on Sunday.

But when asked after her speech if she plans to oppose President Donald Trump in the 2020 presidential elections, she replied, "I don’t. I don't."

"There will be no running of office of any kind, for me," she said back in October.

On Monday, NBC deleted a "stunningly unprofessional" tweet that read: "Nothing but respect for OUR future president”.

“I'm sure NBC will say it's just a joke and try to move on," Media Research Center Vice President Dan Gainor told Fox News.

In a statement on Monday NBC called the tweet "a joke" and blamed it on a "third party agency".

"Yesterday a tweet about the Golden Globes and Oprah Winfrey was sent by a third party agency for NBC Entertainment in real time during the broadcast. It is in reference to a joke made during the monologue and not meant to be a political statement. We have since removed the tweet."

But Oprah's inner circle say she is gearing up to take on President Trump in 2 years.

Sandrarose.com readers believe she has a chance to win.

    Best of LOVE to her!

  • http://batman-news.com Roderick2011

I think Oprah needs to beef up her security detail while Beyoncé can exhale a sigh of relief.

  • Noirluv45

I'll wait to hear it from her mouth.

  • Blaque Mahogany

I don't get it. Why did they apologize?

  • Yardgirl

Until I hear the words spoken directly from Oprah herself, I am not believing any of the rumors.

  • KcoolMuziq

Oprah(Whom I attended two SAG screenings of "GreenLeaf" & 'Queen Sugar' with & adore) is adored by MANY white women. But for some reason that I don't understand.Black women don't & never really identified with her.

  • JRock

Like I said in an earlier post, Oprah might be up to something. Last year Bruce Springsteen, Tom Hanks, Oprah, Barack and Michelle were spotted on a yacht "supposedly vacationing" and the tea was this wasn't just a cruise around the French Polynesia and that they were planning a 2020 run for either Oprah or Michelle. I'd vote for either of these women. Say whatever you want about Oprah because none of us are perfect but the idiot that cheated his way in needs to go. I'm still not clear why he hasn't been removed for retardation and mental instability. To hell with impeachment remove his ass because of some real time crazy going on in his head.

  • TMW

Hopefully everyone has learned something from having a politically unqualified candidate in office. Oprah is great at what she does, but that doesn’t mean she will be a good President. We definitely need diplomacy and political astuteness - if we want a black woman to run, it should be Kamala Harris, not Oprah.

A little fluff. I was following Oprah's preparations on Facebook and her stylist was flat ironing her natural hair. She said she would switch and wear a wig if her hair frizzes. Now I'm wondering if her hair withstood the weather or that's a wig. If it is her hair, I need her stylist asap, I'll find a way to afford her.

Didn't The Rock say something about running when he was on Ellen

  • hottlanta

THIS JUST IN. NBC has deleted the tweet. Don Jr. got the nerve to say they are bias against his dad when they have and Sinclair news on Dump rotation 24/7.

In case anyone had any doubts about where the media stands this should take care of it. The bias against @realDonaldTrump is now so obvious they have simply given up hiding it.

Can you trust anything they say at this point?

Americans see the truth in job #s & in their wallets!

  • JRock

Her hair did look on point. I was like I wonder if that is her real hair, if so, I need to make my hair look like that because mine is about the same length, maybe a tad bit longer. I was like wow, Oprah's hair looks great.

  • MsPam

Hey Hollywood! Happy New Year, still name dropping in 2018!

  • hottlanta

Don Jr. and Spicey said they are showing bias. Fake news campaign.

  • 5000BlinK

I just want a President that is QUALIFIED and actually like people....ALL PEOPLE.. ya know lilke past Presidents. Now,, I dont know what Oprah education background looking like...... but Im sure she is not qualified.

#45 IS TRASH! so at this point I will take ANYBODY running against him.

  • Mr.LeBrickJames

I agree. I'd take Oprah over Trump if that's what it came down to, but I believe there are way better choices we can come up with to run against Trump.

  • JRock

Right, still name dropping in 2018 LOL. Then he gets super mad and kirks when you say something about it or the people he name drops. Watch him come for me. Ion even care cuz I never come back for replies or responses. I just let people get themselves upset over nothing.

  • Blaque Mahogany

    *raises hand*

Ummm past presidents didn't really like ALL people. They just didn't broadcast their dislike of them...usually...I mean there are exceptions. Kinda. You get where I'm going with this.

  • cherrypie

I agree! Most black women do not "f" with Oprah. Even women on this blog have the opinion that she knows nothing about running and probably wouldn't be a good candidate. I would rather it be Oprah running this country then some old azz yt man which we have had since like FOREVA. Shoot, if Ronald Ragan (former actor) can run, I'm pretty sure Oprah can and do a great job.

  • cherrypie

If ya'll remember, Hillary denied running until she announced she was running.

  • KcoolMuziq

Exactly! She has been courted by mainstream America for years to run. But I’ve never heard not one black woman recommend her or support her in anyway or in any of her endeavors that she does besides Gayle.

Which surprises me since she was a poor negro girl that grew up in Mississsippi. That picked herself up by the boot straps and turned herself into one if not the richest black women in the world .

  • hottlanta

Stedman has it made. I betcha he don't be bothering Oprah by calling her cellphone every 10 minutes expecting her to pick up like some of these other dudes. She can go to Antarctica and back and stay as long as she wants and I bet when she comes home he don't be in bytch mode saying where have you been I been calling you for a week and I want an answer now. He ain't worrying bout looking at her cellphone behind her back or nothing. I bet when she leave her computer up he doesn't look at the screen. Stedman like I am not messing up my coins. Hell to the naw.

  • alex

    Absolutely agree!

  • hottlanta

Don't say "Rock" ump ump ump.

  • Look@m3

Who voting for that brick head? Not me

  • hottlanta

She ain't gonna do it because you know the first thing they are gonna do is try to find Stedman gay lover and say Oprah/Gayle are lovers. I remember when Oprah went out of town and a reporter followed Stedman and said he had a gay lover when she printed it in the paper. It was a mess and trust me they will bring it up again. Things don't die they just remain silent ready to rise again when needed.

  • alex

I would think that Michelle would have had enough of the White House by now. I would have.

  • alex

Most presidents didn't like all people. In fact, I'd say 97% didn't like all people and actively hated black people -- the one that appeared to be the exception was Barack.

  • 1BlueStar

    I wouldn't vote for her.
    Or The Rock.
    Or Bobby Brown,

  • brownisback

not to be confused with the pron star the rock................i only know that because "my friend" just told me there was one that went by the same name

  • brownisback

I'm almost certain that's her hair. When Chris Rock make the Good Hair documentary he was on her show running his fingers through it and I think she also had the guy that's been doing her hair for years talking about it

  • Ebony Starr

The bar has been lowered by #45!

  • http://batman-news.com Roderick2011

Hell that bar is on the ground.

  • Nophace

Yooooooooooo!!!!! This shit made me spit my drink out!! Hahahahaha

  • Nophace

I used to think that one had to serve in the military in order to be POTUS but looking back I see that since 1992 the person with the least amount of military experience has won the election and 2012 was the first year neither candidate had any experience. Not like it makes a difference anyway, they're all doing what they're told to do anyway!

  • NOPE

She will never be elected............although she is pro white, maybe, but don't think so.

  • MythCalledLove

Everyone will vote for Oprah for all the wrong reasons. Hoping she will give the country a car or pay college tuitions. Or it could be a genius plan in the works that will ensure a win. Oprah & Gail will come out of the closet that they think they are in but most already semi kinda wonder if Stedman is her moustache (female version of beard). Or Oprah will run for President with Gail as her running mate. Seriously though I think that would be a dumb move. Like Beyonce Oprah is like a GOD. We look the other way when it comes to the nut job she made famous Dr. Phil. And the girls school, and no-one wants to hear her talk break out in a singing voice while she holds her hands funny (ck some footage of her show). Just stick to her Taco Fiesta and Oprah soup life.

  • Julia Lyons

Tulsi Gabbard is the only qualified candidate who can defeat Trump!

  • MythCalledLove

Nah I think it's the"Captain America" fight for your country thing.

  • Raquelle Dellaghetto
  • ZRoJoTheLezBeyond

I wouldn't vote for Oprah. Tired of "celebrities/entertainers" trying to run our country. I'd love the chance to vote for Michelle Obama, though. She fully understands politics and graduated from law school. I'd trust her over any other women rumored to run.

  • MythCalledLove

Not anybody his crazy ass will try to make his family the jacked up version of the Kennedy's. Ivanka will run, then on and on it will stop when we get to the youngest son because he would just stand there thinking "I like apples & bananas" ( Nathan from South Park voice).. Sorry that was mean

  • Malcom Flex

She not. She'd have to tell who and what she really is and she ain't ready for that.

  • Yardgirl

    Totally agree!!

  • hottlanta

    Can't take it.

  • MissMy2Cents

If you look at the educational backgrounds of a number of former presidents, many lack degrees. Any person can run for an elected position in government as long at the meet specific requirements which usually don't include education. Just because you are educated does not mean you are qualified. I bet Oprah is more qualified and more educated in a plethora of areas versus some of the others. At least she likespeople, ALL people.

  • Omandesert

Michelle Obama would get my vote also.

  • NeverSurprised

Actually, she probably wouldn't have to reveal anything. The press loves her so they would simply hide the more embarrassing details, just as they did with Obama.

Most people still don't know Obama and his partner in crime, Rham Emmanuel, were card -carrying members of Man"s Country. Obama was a Wednesday night regular there during his days in the Illinois State Legislature. Even after Larry Sinclair wrote 3 books about his cocaine-fueled gay trysts with Obama, the press simply refused to ask Obama about it and made sure Sinclair was blackballed from the talk show circuit.

They will protect Oprah in the same manner.

  • the guest

I hope Oprah runs for the President of the United States. She and Stedman would make a magnificent First Family.

  • the guest

If this were true, President Obama image deserved to be protected. Oprah deserves her image protected too. They bring an abundance of good to the world.

  • the guest

Oprah's own hair is natural, thick, long and beautiful. She has great hair.

  • Skin Deep Beauty

Laughable! And why would she make a good President.. Let's get serious. America is already a joke..

  • TMW

The press will love her until she’s an African American woman running for President. I like Oprah, but she has put more energy into Africa than she has into African-Americans in America.

Not to mention they have already proved that they’d rather have a baffoon in office over a qualified woman. Oprah is black and a woman, so it will be even worse.

  • Floriduhh Evans

Even though I love Oprah if she runs against Trump in 2020 the presidency is officially a joke.

  • Junkanoo
  • NYTimes#1Bestseller

    Shes got my vote already.

  • dontgetblocked

It takes a real woman to make fun of an eleven year old child. Grow up!

  • Karen Brady

At this point..why the hell not?

  • Karen Brady

Exactly...Next up is Theo Huxtable followed by Homer Simpson I guess.

  • Karen Brady

    :-)...don't forget Gayle

  • Lolly Asher

So is Olivia Pope about to get a cabinet position? This world has officially gone cartoon.

  • Tbay _

Trump did an interview with Larry King back in 1999 where he said he would choose Oprah as his Vice President. He had nothing but good things to say about her. Now I'm sure he was joking, but what racist would even mention her name let alone give her praise.

  • nick c

She's the one talking to Oprah

  • Duhhty

If you don't already see it as a joke going back to 2000, then you clearly aren't smart enough to be voting.

  • Duhhty

Except if you look at his actual track record and not memes featuring pics of his family, you'll find that he REALLY didn't like black people either. lol..

  • the guest

Unfortunately, too many black folks have been conditioned to reject our most excellent. I have not and I stand with Oprah for POTUS 2020.

  • alex

    Touché. 100% it is.

  • Jeloi

Oprah should stay in her lane and keep your day job. We will looking at the same situation that we have now a President with "no" political experience, who don't know what he is doing. I didn't vote for #45 and I will not vote for Oprah.

  • Raylee

Nope I'm sorry. She is a very successful women but she does not have a background in politics. While I'm all for this black girl magic. I'm over these stars thinking they can run the country. I think they should make a requirement that a person should have to at least hold a political position at the city level for a year before even running.

  • Tennessean

A female president would really be interesting.

  • unknown user

This is all becoming one big joke

  • Kayke

Though I agree..... I don't see gay her, or gay Stedman stopping anything. Gay seems to propel things forward now-a-days. If anything her being unmarried would be what they harp on.

  • Blue

I'm actively thinking about downloading a game on my phone. Not sure yet.

  • Karen Brady

Wait a minute now.. Bobby gets my vote!

she boule' just like the rest of these kneegrows,,, she wont do us any good like Obummer.

Oprah the hosts that said she would rather help children in Africa because all the BLACK kids in Chicago wanted was Ipods.....
Now she wants to be your representative..... LOL
