Usher Raymond and his long-suffering wife, Grace Miguel have split after 2 years of marriage. The former power couple announced their pending divorce in a statement released on Tuesday.
“After much thought and consideration we have mutually decided to separate as a couple,” Usher, 36, and Miguel, 48, said in a joint statement to Us Weekly. “We remain deeply connected, loving friends who will continue supporting each other through the next phases of our lives. The enormous amount of love and respect that we have for each other will only increase as we move forward.”
Cynics on social media are saying this breakup is yet another publicity stunt. They say Usher put his California home on the market, but there are no moving trucks so far.
Usher was sued by an Atlanta area jazz singer, Laura Helm, who claimed he infected her with the herpes virus. She later dropped the lawsuit.
