Anderson Cooper, right, is back on the market. The 50-year-old CNN anchor confirmed he and his longtime partner, millionaire businessman Ben Masiani, have split up. This is not news to bloggers who called the split months ago.
In a statement to PEOPLE on Thursday, Cooper said: “Benjamin and I separated as boyfriends some time ago. We are still family to each other, and love each other very much. “[W]e remain the best of friends, and will continue to share much of our lives together.”
According to gossip bloggers, Cooper, pictured left, was cheating on Masiani with a handsome Dallas radiologist named “Victor,” right.
Cooper reportedly flew to Dallas on his days off to hookup with Victor. He later denied he was cheating.
Last month, a user on Datalounge.com wrote:
“I have it on very good authority that Anderson Cooper and Ben Masiani have split up. Anderson was in Dallas this past weekend – a friend saw him at a restaurant and took a photo of him with a group and put it on Facebook. A friend of this same friend commented on the post and said “He’s seeing someone I know here in Dallas and was here for his birthday”.
After many DL users doubted his tea, the user posted this image of Cooper at a party in Dallas with Victor.
After the thread went viral, Cooper unfollowed Victor on social media.
Victor later deleted his account.
Cooper’s boyfriend, Ben, was no angel either. In 2012 he was caught kissing a smoking hot man who has never been identified.
